Aims for 2009??

As New Year is fast approaching, what is everyones aims for 2009?? They don't have to be DFW!

Personally I/we aim to refit our bathroom without using credit or normal wages. ie with overtime, 2nd job, surveys, quidco, STP etc.

I aim to invest more time into my jewellery business and hopefully expand online and into more bridal shops.

Decorate kitchen and re-floor also 100% money neutral.

Lose 6-7 stones and return to being a yummy mummy.

Kick start our new home deposit fund

Weed the garden so that it no longer resembles a jungle.
Plant veggies in the veggie patch once I find it
    Look after veggies
Reduce the debts to £25K or less. Hopefullly much much less.
Do much more housework so that the house is somewhere I want to spend time rather than somewhere I avoid because it annoys me.
Reduce the number of voluntary activities I do for charity and spend that time looking after my family.
Stop saying no as much to the people I love.

OO housework is a good one. We have too much clutter/junk. We also have 2 children. At the moment I detest this house because it is never tidy and as a result I tend to spend more time with the kids in places that cost money rather than being inside our home finger painting or something.

A bit of a common one - lose a bit of weight (she writes, as she eats pringles at 5:15 for breakfast) and try and get a bit fitter. May go for a run in a minute :rotfl:

2009 is going to be the year I am definately going to start writing.

Stop allowing my mother to manipulate and bully me.

Ignore my sister when she gets judgemental, she has made me pay for that 'mistake' 18 years ago every day since. It has to stop.

stop trying to make the marriage flourish - if he can't put in any effort then b0ll0cks to it - if it fails it fails.

2009 is going to be the start of the 'me' period. I cannot live my entire life pleasing everybody else - this year is going to be mine.

    so there!!!

Another one for losing abit of weight! I could do with losing a stone.
Save up £2,000 by next nov for a holiday
Im hoping to do both of those by stopping drinking and MSing.
    £100 - £10,000
  • Mine are:
To lose the approx 3st I have gained this year (going to SW on Wed!!!)
    Start running again
Really make inroads into the debt to take advantage of our mortgage going down by £200 from Feb (on a tracker and IR cuts haven't been applied yet)
Get my veg patch sorted this year
Do better with our grocery budget and cut this down substantially
be happy!! (2008 was crap, I lost my mum)

Writing this down in "public" is a big step but I've been up for two hours, sorting stuff out in my head so here goes:
    1 Lose the last 2.5 stone (already done 2.5 so :j )
2 De-clutter my house by selling as much as possible.
3 Practice sewing so I can make my own wedding dress with the 1950 Vintage Vogue pattern that I have (it's fabulous!)
4 Work out what I'm going to take with me when I move & start selling the rest (see 2)
5 MAKE my kids go to German classes ready for when we move & help them by doing extra work with them.
6 Stick to my new, frugal budget!
All easy stuff, so no problems there! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Actually I may need a wee bit of help so expect to see a lot more of me in 2009!
