HOOS,
Keep thinking those positive thoughts, maybe you should consult the CAB for legal advise re the work matter??
xxxxxxx
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0 -
I may well do, I'm taking advice from the union at the moment but I just feel a bit overwhelmed by it; it feels like everything's geared against the employee in this situation
but I'll figure it out. Been trying to get hold of OH and union rep since yesterday to no avail, and I really need to speak to them for advice - I've been told they've given me an appointment to see OH GP rather than nurse, who I need to speak to to arrange my return, and even that's not til the 18th!! So it looks like I'm going to have to go back next week without seeing OH to sort it out, which is my only choice really as I can't afford to lose so much money, but I'm a bit uneasy about agreeing to it without taking advice first.
It's all a lot more stressful than it should be!0 -
WELL some more positive news, I've piggy-banked my money for the month, I've paid another £46 off the overdraft, I've now got enough money set aside for the dental work I'm having done (not all due til end of August but I feel more comfortable knowing it's there already).
Am determined to find some free money this month as I want to keep up the momentum on the debt-busting, had a tough few months money-wise but I need to keep it going! Must get that stuff on Ebay before I'm back at work.0 -
Ooh also just worked out I've paid off almost 20% of my debt as it stood at LBM - hurrah! (18.77%) that's made me feel better. Hmm, if only I'd used that maths to avoid getting into debt in the first place!! He he.
Need to pay off another £113 to make it to 20% so that my challenge over the next week or so. Then I will be having a little dance
And I'm attempting to unblock my stinky outside drain (apparently certain people were not aware that food and oil should not be shoved down the kitchen sink...I give up, sometimes!!) in true OS moneysaving style...so far we've done hot water, old mop as plunger (managed not to puke, it was a close call though...), manual de-clogging (had to leave that one to BF as feeling a bit delicate today) and now vinegar and bicarb are fizzing away at it (Thank you OS board!).
If that doesn't work we're moving on to caustic soda. BF is a true moneysaver and has said he'd have the patio up before I pay a penny to someone else to sort it out! Good man.0 -

Gah for union rep.
Really hope you get some proper resolution soon.
:j for the almost 20%.
Nice way to track it.0 -
Yep, looks like I'm in this on my own!! Good job I like a good fight...
Discussed it with my dad last night and he said if work have said they're happy to have me back and if I want to go back, to do it. No point in letting them steal my money as well as my health and potential career prospects!
Sent an email to my boss setting it all out and that as my current GPs note expires next week I intend to return to adjusted duties. Goodness knows what that will be, but at least I wont be out of pocket.0 -
RIGHT I've done my payments for this month (for some reason I hadn't factored them in and then wondered why I had more money than I expected!!)
SO I'm over the 20% mark! Hurrah!! £450 in total this month paid off the RBS overdraft, it's almost gone, woohoohoo!!! I'm gonna do my best to get ebay & MS money to pay the rest of it off this month, as that one gave me nightmares for a long time. (I opened it before Natwest & RBS merged and thought "Oh crap, busted!" when they did, have just been waiting for the day they demand it back in full ever since. What a weight lifted!)
So, that's my 2nd grand paid off, and 22.83% of total debt, phew!! I think that deserves a little dance! :j and even better, if I pay the remainder of the RBS o/d off by the end of the month, that's over 25%!! WOOHOO!0 -
