  • Stress free life - I do hope so!!!

He has avoided being in the same room as me when his GF is not there, and I've not felt right in asking him in front of her (she's really lovely and I'm too soft and don't want to make her feel uncomfortable.) I'm going to try to confront him about it tomorrow, if he's still hiding I'm putting a letter under his door before I go out to dance.

Go on go for it, or just forget it and concentrate on getting him out, whichever will cause you the least stress and resentment.
  • Done it - managed to get hold of him last night & told him I was over £40 down. He argued the point for a while and seemed to be trying to blame other housemate, but i just told him look, it was your drawer that was sticking out and other housemate had been away since before you told me you'd last been in the freezer.

So that's job one done...job two coming up soon...

    Good for you, well done.

Just think you will soon have a nice chilled house again.
    xx

I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!
  • Urgh I'm getting really nervous about having the conversation :s not looking forward to it at all.

Will have to just be strong though and bite the bullet. I'm going to feel horrible about telling him he's evicted but I guess I just have to focus on the lack of stress that will result from it.

I've already drafted by housemate wanted advert, I've decided that this time, on top of references etc I'm going to do one of those questionnaire things for potential housemates to fill in. I think also, when (hopefully!) I get a new lodger, I'm going to have a house meeting and discuss a set of house rules to agree on, that way everyone's in the picture and also has a say on it. That way we can put in our tuppence worth about pet-hates etc, so that I can avoid annoying them as much as the other way round!!

I guess you learn from each experience, this one has taught me that you have to be firm and set your stall out from the start. That way you don't have to spend 12 months correcting the behaviour of a 24yr old man-child because people will know from the start what is and isn't ok.

And I had a dream about going to pick Snufters up from the rescue centre last night, awww I want a cat so much!!!

    In money-saving news, I've been to the pound shop and got;

    - leave in conditioner (£7 less than the last one...:-o I know, but I bought it before I started moneysaving!!)
    - Harpic super-duper toilet stuff - which is currently dissolving the limescale as I type :)
    - Portuguese mouthwash (well, why not)
    - Big pack of Jaffa Cakes to replace the ones my BF foolishly left in my house last week at a time when I was seriously PMS-sing. It was jaffa-carnage.
    - Two-pack of washing up liquid...I've been cleaning the dishes with Stardrops for the last 2 days as was too lazy to go to the shop!

Off to dance tonight...hoping to undo some of the jaffa-cake related damage I did at the weekend!!!
  • Hey HOOS, just been catching up on your thread, glad to see you are finally giving evil HM the boot (about bloody time!) :T

How are things going regarding your job? What would happen if they go down the same route as that girl you mentioned earlier? Do you still get paid? Or are you on SSP? I'm hoping things work out for you. :)

Speaking of cats, I got sucked in by the evil that is Youtube yesterday and was watching various cat antics/cats doing cute things. This is the kind of cat I am going to get when I am debt free:

  • Woohoo got 50p instead of the usual 10p on my free daily scratchcard, nearly at my first tenner now!! :D

As soon as I'm up to £10.10, I'm withdrawing £10 and paying it off the debts. Not been able to make much of a dent this month due to an expensive March, so every little helps, even £10! (Got £38 coming from mystery shops too so that's nearly £50 from nowhere, all good!)
