Right, he's done the same this evening, so I've drafted a letter detailed all the "evidence", itemising all the stuff I've lost and requesting reimbursement. It really is no more Miss Nice HOOS now!!! There is a tether and I am now, emphatically, at the end of it!

Have printed out Notice to Quit ready to give him, so that's done, and I'll get BF to print letter out tomo for me about the food.

Spoke to nice lodger and he's had quite enough of him too. Plus he said that while I was away, the naughty one returned to his bathroom-floor soaking ways with a vengeance, leading to wet-socks-related trauma for nice lodger!

On a more positive, money-saving note, I have had a lovely meal out with BF as I had a mystery shop at a restaurant, good news all round, top marks to the restaurant, absolutely could not fault them (love writing those kind of reports!) and we had a lovely evening together for free! Marvellous

Tomorrow is Ebay day!

He's getting the money demand tonight, but I'm waiting til the end of the month for the notice cause a) it's two less weeks of him behaving like someone who know's he's been kicked out and b) gives him less time to think about withholding his rent for the last month, so although I want to staple it to his face this instant, I think it would be better to hang on to that one for a while.

Had an awful night last night, really awful heartburn. I only get that when I'm stressed so I'm guessing it's down to being wound up this week. Boo! Just tells me I'm doing the right thing getting that clown out of my house.

Got a phonecall from MS lady, got another shop in for today, yay! :T

Well, I've had a word with my brother. He was a bit uncomfortable about it, but I explained that I hadn't said anything before out of respect for their friendship, and that I didn't want him to get involved or discuss it further with him but that I just wanted to put him in the picture as I'm going to have to ask him to move on.

Felt really awkward about it but glad I've told him now, and mum and dad backed me up and said that this had been going on for months and wasn't just on a whim, and that I'd tried my best to resolve things.

Well it's a GORGEOUS day here, I'm going to go out into the yard and attempt to plant some seeds (I have the gardening touch of death but I'm determined to make things grow - I got a bunch of seed packets which had the words "Easy to Grow" "Hardy" "HOOS-proof".)

I too stumbled upon this thread via Badgers. Read all of that one and this one today.
Kick his azz to the kerb. Start advertising now at the same rate as reasonable lodger and see how many calls you get. If he has got stuff out still defrosted you've gotta get rid of that too as it's an obvious health risk. Stick it all in his room and whack the heating up

He he, it's gone now, it was doing my head in & starting to get stinky. If he says anything it's just tough, I have a responsibility to keep the house in a state which isn't going to cause serious illness!!

I'm not looking forward to the conversation, but really looking forward to getting rid, he just causes me way too much stress and it'll be such a relief when he's gone.

I think he's in work tomorrow so that's something at least!!!
