I know a fair bit about it - I used to configure Cisco routers in data centres a while ago. As I said at the top of this thread, I found the user interface very hard going, and mine doesn't have the extra complication of the wireless part.

If you're determined to get it to work (as opposed to returning it to Ebuyer and getting something else) then I suggest you put aside the USB cable, connect it to a PC via the LAN port and go to Admin, Commit and Reboot, and choose "Reboot with the default settings" which will return it to factory config.

Then go to the Quick Config section and put in the parameters that espresso provided. Although the user manual says that you should configure ATM interface 1, I configured ATM interface 0 and it worked just fine.

Then just Commit and Reboot and the WAN section should spring into life. You ~may~ need to change the MTU size, but I suspect it will work (perhaps less efficiently) without that.

[edit: if you have trouble accessing the router's setup pages via the LAN interface, leave the PC connected to the powered-on router and reboot the PC, in case it is still using an IP address provided by your old router].

A good example to use to see if your MTU needs changing..........once you get all the green lights on the front of your router on try to get the google.co.uk home page on your choosen browser. If that is OK try bbc.co.uk. If that either doesn't load or loads very slowly the MTU needs tweaking using the tool I detailed earlier.

I would second the suggestion about going back to factory default settings and trying to input everything afresh. It worked for me!

    Agreed and don't use USB.
