Hi,
I gave up with the ironing after 2 hours:rolleyes:. I've got about 8 things in the basket and another 5 ish loads of washing and drying to do tomorrow:eek:. It will get done:cool:. I'm now doing an online Asda shop i don't know why i get these ideas at this time of night when i should be asleep.
Hi HollyH - I read your reply and have to ask... are the clothes all in need of an iron? I have 3 teenage sons and a male partner - I only iron my clothing and linen shirts for the men... the rest gets neatly folded... have a look at what you have to iron - if you are ironing it simply because that is how "society" suggests - trust me - sometimes you can really get a lot of stuff out of the ironing basket! T-Shirts - never iron them - fold up straight off the line or tumble! Jeans - never iron them - ensure they are smooth on the line or again fold out the tumble.... I think you could reduce your 8 hours to far less!
Goodluck.... I personally find ironing quite cathartic - when I get into the mood to iron! :rotfl:Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

Morning all
OH off to work, DD off to work and DS still in bed.
So far I've SS'd bathroom, loaded tumble dryer and loaded washing machine. As they've both finished, it's probably time I moved and did a bit more flying. Our bed's stripped and the bedding washed, so that's a good start.

Ok, HHC totally failed as DS2 decided to run after me crying, then ensued fight to get him to take some calprofen and I only managed to put away half the dishes from last night.
Did locate and remove the WM filter though and loads of water came out!
YUCK! What an awful smell!
I don't understand how to clean it though, it doesn't look like a filter, or at least how I expected one to look, did I take out something wrong?

Watched you all through 2008 with RESPECT! Had the odd attempt, but never really developed the good flylady habits. Would like to join you in 2009 and get my housework under some sort of control. Managed to get my finances controlled in 2008, which I am really proud of. 2009 is the year of the house and the figure!.
All the best to everyone.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
