Anyhoo, I joined this thread as I'm needing a much needed kick up the jacksy with all this housework malarkey, and seeing as your such a bunch of lovely lovely ladies ( see how I'm trying to worm my way into all your good books already..) I thought you could help me on my way to a shiny shiny house, rather than the muck midden it is now...:( procrastination is my middle name.

ragz - just a wee suggestion - do todays list first and then if you have the time and the energy go back and do some of yesterday's.
sarahsarah you can be a rebel if you like honey - there are a few of us here from time to time - the lists are only a guide!you are working well and keep posting it gives you a focus! Thats bad luck about Morrisons - another of the things we just take for granted here!

My knee hurts... I may whinge..
Stupid insurance company.. do any of you understand this as I don't...
I spoke to them first about the cooker on the 15th when we had the fire.. they said it would be replaced and to find estimates of similar/same.. I found one for £583.. the same.
They said they use Comet and would send me a gift card thing with £782 on it as that is the cost of replacing that specific model at comet
SO.. I said I don't WANT the same model having looked closely at it the model is not the same specification but it is the same model number and the ovens are not big enough for my family
So, they agreed to send me a cheque for the £782 it would cost for the same model (diff. spec) as the one that was destroyed .. fair enough I'll take the £782 add to it and get the model I WANT which is most economical for my family.
Today I received a gift card for.. £902.87 ... So I rang them back...
I don't WANT a gift card for Comet, they don't stock the model I want and I will not have the same model as I had before as, as I previously said, it is smaller... so..
They offered £583 cash settlement.. erm.. no I don't think so!! I can get the model I WANT for £900 so.. off she tootled to speak to the supervisor came back and said...
Ok.. We will send you a cheque for £920....
Right.. is there ANY logic or reason to that because I am baffled... ???LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
