Thanks toots, angelnikki and everyone working on my thanks. I've just done a round working on soappie's thanks buttons. Have got quite a few done, but there are still some to find.

Just had a call from the headteacher at the school I was supplying at before Christmas and one of their Year 6 teachers has called in sick so I'll be working tomorrow. Good job I made up those sandwiches!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Thanks for the thanks :D

DD's hypnotherappy script was really quite good! It was just go into relaxation mode and then come back up again. I almost nodded off! Have just had a bath (I reckon it'll be too cold in the morning!) and a glass of wine whilst I drip dry then I need to 'unrelax' and set too on the roast dinner...

  • Hi Everyone

I must say that I have acheived more today than I normally do on a Sunday - thanks you lot keeping me motivated to carry on.

I been doing it in 15 min slots except when I did HHC with the ironing (still a mountain to do though)

    I have:
    cleaned the down stairs loo
cleared stuff away in the LR
Washed up lots of times - DS has wiped up so kitchen looks alright (just tea things to do)
got DS to cook tea - only pasta but nice not to cook.
    hoovered the stairs and hall

DD is sulking in her room although it escapes me as to how she can even get in there. DS has now been told that unless he completes his thankyou letters then I will take the laptop to work - so maybe they will actually get done.

Hope to do more later after Mr Darcy leaves the TV........

Flower, my DH did something similar six months ago (inc the thumping a door bit, muppet  ) but didn't go to the dr's. Wasn't a problem driving etc, but he does need to rest it as much as he can or he will end up with an aching hand still in six months. My DH probably needs to get his re-set but he refuses to have it done.

Why are they such stubborn, pigheaded plonkers??? Do they think we think more of them because they are so tough or something?
My arm wasn't in plaster either, but I was warned that I could do more damage if I had to move the wheel suddenly and might not have the grip or strength to make any quick manoeuvres. Also, has he checked with work that their insurance allows him to drive their machinery with a broken hand?

He drove fine today, including manouvering around roundabouts, braking hard and having to swerve because someone pulled out on us just before we got to the turning (another muppet!) but I'm still not convinced he will be able to to it for 2 hours without it aching like mad. Workwise, he drives a teleboom, which is nearly all done with 1 hand aparently as it is levers, plus they're not using him for much at the moment, so he may get away with it, but if they do say no, there is other stuff they can put him on instead.... I got no-where with what I said.... Men!... hhhhrrruuummmpppffff...

  • Flower I joined in the 2nd HHC as well.

    In HHC 1 I:
De-cluttered the LR floor (some to single seater but most to bin or proper place. )
De-cluttered DR floor (some to dining table but will deal with it soon.)
swept uncluttered bit of landing and stairs.
vacuumed the LR, DR, and entrance.

    In HHC 2 I
dried and put away washing up.
    emptied dyson.
    brushed inside dyson
    washed filter
    replaced freshener
    sneezed a lot.

An hour went really quickly when I was focused.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

If anyone wants to do some more thanking, a good thread to look on is a really old flylady thread which we didn't used to thank so regularly on from 2007.

Search for the thread Flylady Challenge - A New Year A New You.

It's been really nice reminiscing over what we were all like back then.
