Not much flying done here today as have to take dd1 shopping tomorrow (very autistic one) and that will take alot of energy.

But shopping done - should keep us all going for the week. Trying to postpone BIG shop. Last lot of washing on, just one big ironing mountain left. The rest I will work through next week as the lists are posted.

When shopping came across a new mag "Sew Hip". Tells you how to make do and mend (very os) Does'nt just say ...And we did this this and this to make this 50p coat from oxfam look like a new designer coat. .. It tells you how. Anyone else seen it? Any thoughts?

    Anyway must feed children. TTFN:D

I started reading this thread last night and have been so inspired by you all that I have tidied & cleaned my lounge today - including pulling out the sofa and cleaning the skirting boards (my mum will be so proud of me) but who knew so much dust could build up behind a sofa - I blame the dog!!!
I can't wait for the new weeks thread so I can start a whole new me - my OH is away working for the week - he won't recognise the place when he gets home!!

  • I've emerged for a minor break. I ache all over! However, nearly there. Just waiting for the TD to finish so I can extract their mattress protectors and then make their beds.

Piggers that's wonderful news, thanks for letting us know. :D

Ok, back to the grindstone guys! See you later.

Greenbee - thanks for the vouchers and my neighbour would also like to say a massive thankyou to you. I was talking to her outside my house and she said she was off to b&q for loads of bits she needed including some kitchen units. I gave her one of your vouchers and she's just popped round to say thankyou as she saved over £100. She's really chuffed and told me I had to send you big hugs! We're using one of the vouchers tomorrow. Thanks again, you're a star xx

Kamperkat, best of luck with it. Take some photos so you can see what you have achieved - you don't have to post them on here unless you want to. I find it helps a lot with my motivation.

Flower, my DH did something similar six months ago (inc the thumping a door bit, muppet  ) but didn't go to the dr's. Wasn't a problem driving etc, but he does need to rest it as much as he can or he will end up with an aching hand still in six months. My DH probably needs to get his re-set but he refuses to have it done.

hellsbells, I think it was sew hip I was looking at in the supermarket, it looked very good but I am trying really hard not to buy magazines - one of my biggest areas of waste spending.

Dinner has been eaten, animals have been fed - just need to S&S the kitchen for what feels like the 100th time this holiday.

Thanks Froddy - he hasn't got it in plaster or anything and was told by the hospital to rest for a while and not to go to work, but he is a stubborn mule and insists on going, as he has only just started there and doesn't want to let them down, plus he only gets SSP if he doesn't go in and I think he wants us to keep on track and not slip back again - I've nagged and nagged and so did his mum, but he won't listen.... I'll let him know about the insurance though, see what he says then...;)

My arm wasn't in plaster either, but I was warned that I could do more damage if I had to move the wheel suddenly and might not have the grip or strength to make any quick manoeuvres. Also, has he checked with work that their insurance allows him to drive their machinery with a broken hand?
