Evening all, been sent home from work early as I had a wierd funny turn and almost passed out. Think my blood sugars are going a bit wonky, wishes messes up my blood disorder thingy, which makes me feel yucky and passy outy type thing. SOOOOO, I am going to sit on my rear end all evening, drinking alcopops(for the sugar content purely) and make DP run around after me. Good thing is I have 3 days to pull myself together as I am back to my normal shifts now!

DP making pizza dough in my new BM, so thats what we are having for tea/supper.

PF.... received the package this morning, thanx hunni. Looks great!

Off to find some paper to start writing out lists for each room, house rules, jobs lists etc.... I am determined to have an organised, calm household!

Bah I don't want to go babysitting! Was going to have a shower before I went but I'm cold, need to be there for 8 (about a 10 min dash) and I haven't eaten yet. Well I had an orange and a few chocolates around lunch time :o I forgot to feed myself

Maybe if I spray myself liberally with smell and stick my hair up they won't notice I'm manky :rotfl: Actually I think it's just my messy hair which is the problem. And I had a nap and slept badly so my back now hurts
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Hot water bottle (or several!)... and have you got the heating on?? You may need to turn the radiator TVRs up (if you've got them) to get warm enough for the thermostat to kick in. It doesn't matter how hard you are trying to save, you need to keep warm enough to keep going

I haven't got a hot water bottle - I've been really warm in bed! The heating is on - has been on pretty much 24/7 for the holidays! I'm not worried about the money - just that I can't get my hands and nose warm! The rest of me is ok!!

    tilly-tot - already posted - see post 2136!!!

  • from Penicuik. My best pal lives in Limekilns and her DDs birthday party is in Dalgetty Bay later this month. I just need to find out exactly where :rotfl:

Hi skintscotslass. You're not too far away from me but you're closer to my work in Edinburgh (South Gyle). PM me if you need directions for the party!!

Well, I've not quite embraced pigpen's flylady list yet, but I have opened the bottle of Stardrops and got the microfibre cloths out! :D

I've decided to tackle my clutter and mess one room at a time then try and join in with pigpen's list wherever I can.

First project - the kitchen. So far I've cleaned inside every kitchen cupboard and drawers and re-arranged/tidied them all. I've chucked out everything that was miles past it's best before date and moved out everything that wasn't really kitchen stuff. I can honestly say that for the first time since I moved in, everything in the kitchen belongs there and now has a tidy & organized home! I even have space to put away all the extra plates/bowls and serving dishes I bought before Christmas to cater for the hoards descending on me. :T

I've cleaned the cupboard doors inside and out, including the one on the cooker hood which wasn't pleasant! Whoever decided to get fancy detailing on kitchen cupboards should be strung up, it makes them a nightmare to get clean (no, it wasn't me, they were here when I moved in)! Next on my list for tonight/tomorrow is clean the window and patio doors, clean out the fridge, freezer & microwave and sweep and mop the floor. If I feel really brave tomorrow, I might even clean the underneath and the top of the wall cupboards and the rest of the cooker hood, but the top of the cupboards and the cooker hood look like hard work so I might leave that until I'm feeling braver (ie next weekend!).

I'll be quite pleased when I get one room perfect to start keeping that way with the help of the weekly flylady thread. Only 6 more rooms that need sorted to go, and then I might need to venture into the depths of the garage!
