I'm getting there slowly. DS is going to go and find his chocolate and have a bar, and then we're going to go and plant some cyclamen and bulbs into the bed in the front garden. Think later when Mr G is up I'm going to go and get some new wellies from B&Q. I've not done anything in the garden because I can only find one welly so that's been my excuse. Really need to go and take stock though. Maybe if I start doing stuff it'll give Mr G a kick into helping. I did have a herb bed one side but that's all looking very sorry for itself, really need to get in there and sort it. At the moment I think only the rosemary, sage and 3 different oregano/majoram plants have survived...oh apart from 2 or 3 lavender bushes. Have a bit of a problem with bind weed as well which is driving my crazy!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

:eek::eek::eek::eek: OMG I didn't realise DD had so many clothes - She has also got almost a compete wardrobe in the next size up, all she's missing is some knickers! I've decided to pack up anything that isn't an 8-9 (in her wardrobe and not likely to be there much longer the rate she's growing) or 9-10 (in the built-in wardrobe/cupboard on hangers ready to move into the wardrobe as she outgrows stuff). I can see there being tears the next time she comes up to sort stuff out as its her summer wardrobe and I know she's going to be too big for some of the things already and she loves some of it  Why is my 7 year old having to wear 9-10 trousers in some store labels? :( Really fun bit will be going through the Next stuff - they're sizes seem to be way off and I'm sure some of the age 10 stuff will fit her.

Right, I best go check on an ebay auction that I'm bidding on which is due to end soon, then time to get on with the sorting...back later....

    So far today I have
    • 1 x WM
    • folded up dry clothes and put on the ever-growing dreaded ironing pile
    • swept kitchen floor
    • washed up, dried up and put away breakfast and lunch things
    • been to the shop for bread & milk
    • done my menu plan for next week- ish! know what meals to have just got to work out which days to have them on!
    • bought some stewing beef to try a new slow cooker recipe... again got to decide what to do with it!
DD just gone down for her afternoon nap so I may get some ironing done now... might see if there's a good film on to do it with to make it slightly less boring!

This thread moves so fast! Will catch up again properly later this evening.. hope everyone ok, thanks for all the lovely welcomes :j

Hall stairs and landing cleared and vacuumed.

I'm a bit peeved now though. My CPN has cancelled.....again. I'm supposed to see her every week for an hour. Since being discharged from the hospital mid november, I have seen her three times, for half an hour max.

    Oooooooooooppppppppppsssssssssssssss!

    (Blaming this on snot-muffled brain)

Just went to empty the WM and discovered wierd stuff had got all over the washing, worried it was the pillow I put in had burst, I took it all out to find I had put a nappy in the wash (whether it was clean or dirty, we will never know)

Now washing is covered in little jelly like blogs and fluffy white tissue like stuff. Luckily not a lot of washing as most of the machine was taken up by the pillow but still.

Better not do any more housework today, it's obviously not safe

DS2 is napping, DS1 won't be back for another hour, have put away this morning's dishes and done another sink full of washing up, made lasagne for tonight, so not much more needs doing anyway but

What do I do about the washing that's covered in disintigrated nappy?
