Hello everyone
Im glad to see so many of you are doing so well. I have just popped in to apologise with my head hung in shame:p I received all your lovely Christmas cards-and I thank you. My lead up was incredibly strange and so I didnt get any of mine out. I am so sorry, but I am doing thank you notes so please look out for those to make up for my slackness.
I am still a non smoker:) and so my latest quest is on the lose thread. My doctor has referred me to a dietician in the new year and an exercise class, and I aim to lose at least 25kg's (goodness it sounds so much:eek: ) But I am giving myself a year to do it-and since 2 a month is not much Im sure I'll reach my goal early.
Anyway, I wish you all a blessed 2009-and again, I thank you for helping me get here:)0 -
soappie I haven't been out New Year since I was 17 I don't think, I have worked it inc when DS1 was little (Millenium Eve and being a DJ I would have been mad not to!) but since DS2 was a born I haven't even done that. DPs a taxi driver and to be honest the town seems to get quieter every year, a lot of the pubs are actually closed which is bizarre but some did close before 11 last year as it was so quiet, probably people thinking the same thing, last year he spent a lot of time twiddling his thumbs and was home quite early. He charges normal rates, but some do appreciate the fact he's working while they are out having a good time so sometimes there is good tips about, however last 12 months tips have been few and far between with the 'credit crunch'. Still dozens who get in the taxi without any money expecting him to pay for their journey home.
Oh and I agree with greenbee, sausages for breakfast

Evening peeps
This afternoon I walked doogie with DD and called in at her friends on the way back so she could come and play. Then I lit the fire and did nothing because OH was still in a stinker of a mood that he has been in for the last 2 days. Then to make matters worse he started ringing work to see if they had a shift for him to do - tonight  . What does that say for me and our lovely DD that he chose to go in to work, to a job that he absolutely hates now, on Christmas Eve, Christmas day both 630am - 630pm, then today night shift 630pm - 630am. I give up. Oh and the doctors surgery rang, pleased to tell me I'm still anaemic and need a gluten free diet !!!
I hope you all have a very happy new year and enjoy the festivities

I have lots of good intentions this evening, but I'm not convinced I'll get that far! Like supergirl I feel like curling up in front of a dvd and having an early night!
Hope those of you who ARE being sociable tonight have a great time, and those who are hiding at home like me enjoy the peace and quiet.
Thats whats happening in this house although at the moment we cant decide on the DVD so may live a little and watch 2!!!!!!!!!!0 -

 Children are finally in bed, lounge floor is mostly clear and I now just have one more shirt before I can fold up more clothes to make space for the load I have to hang up to dry. So do I have time for one more load of washing? Or should I just leave it at that?Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible0
