  • Don't wait any longer-phone them! Log in and see if your order is showing as pending. If its disappeared then sometthing has gone wrong with your payment. not trying to panic you but this is not normal for Asda!

Was going to say the same thing - glad you have spoken to them now, and I believe that they do refund if not in time slots provided, so don't let them get away with that - and check your order thoroughly too and ring them if any discrepancies... if they're that pushed, they could have made some mistakes.

So far a NSD for me, but will probably need to get some bread for lunches tomorrow - was hoping to wait until then to go as I need to sort out what else we need - may get hubby to just run me down and wait in the car, as I don't look around then... ;)

You can curry any vegetables that you like including brocolli. If you are using curry powder, make up a vegetable stock, add the curry powder, then dice up what ever vetetables you like and you can serve this with rice, or pasta if you dont have any rice.
I have never tried Brie or stilton on a pizza, but if it is crumbled and small pieces, spread evenly over the base, I cannot see why it would not work. If you dont have tomato puree you can either use ketchup, just thicken it with a little cornflour, and or puree down the tinned tomatoes (If you havent used them in your curry of course!)
Hope that some of that helps.

Asda all ticked off, nothing missing. Fridges and freezers now full to bursting point. Noticed I forgot to order loo rolls and washing powder!! Derr.... Need lots of that as well!!
I am hoping that this will last us for about two weeks, and if I actually get my act together I could probably make it go a bit further then that. But I have got to stop the wastage. Somewhere there is a thread on that> Must go and look for it. Get some insperation. And re look at all the links at the beginning of the links.
I have enough cookery books for inspiration, but most of them are not very MSE. Got the new Jamie Oliver book, as a christmas gift. Signed at that, but I dont think its very cheap ingredients. Not when cooking for 8 of us anyway.
Tonight I have mince to use up, and a small pork hock. To do something with.
Lots of lovely vegetables and heart warming meals needed in this cold weather.
Time to menu plan with what I have, and add some of the things my daughter brought with her. (Not that there is much for a big family).

Tomato Bouillon, curtesy of Bernadine Lawrences book back in the 80's

    300g tomato puree
1 1/2 pts stock (or water with teaspoon yeast extract)
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    S AND P
    Chopped parsley.

Mix puree and stock, bring to the boil, add sugar, and season to taste. Serve sprinkled with the parsley and with toast.

One last thought before I go, you can always make meat balls, out of the mince, or I have even used cheap burgers, and reshapped them into balls, to serve in tinned tomatoes with a bit of mixed herbs.! Sausages can also be taken out of thier skins and reshapped.!! Good luck with the making from the stores. Must go and do ours, now, still no idea what I am going to do!!

  • NSD for me today. I've spent part of the day using up bits of bacon left from Christmas and will have to buy eggs before the weeks over, but am pleased with things so far. It's great just to see other people trying to achieve the same aim and to pick up ideas.

It's probably too late now, but here's the food waste website, just in case it helps:

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to lihnk, but will have a look now....
