On the bar towards the top of the screen, towards the right it says 'Quick Links'. Click on the down arrow to the right of that, then select 'Edit Signature' from the drop down menu.

Type in what you want to see at the end of every post you make, then click on Save. (You can Preview it while working on it, to make sure it looks OK to you :) )

  • We are Budgeting £300 We are including ALL food, visits to coffee shops, meals out, takeaways, ice creams, sweets as well as toiletries and cleaning stuff, over the counter medicines & alcohol.

I have looked at our budget and I hope over the entire year to get it all done for £3350 (a lot less would be better, but lets be realistic) This should be possible but DC(hild)2 is due in March and I have know idea if I will be well afterwards (had PND last time) if not who knows how it will effect me this time.

I have just cancelled our supermarket delivery for early January as we still have so much in, due to most of us being ill over the festive season. I have also decided (& possible the second) to cancel our veg box for the first delivery of January as so much veg has been put in the freezer.

I’m still useless at meal planning, I know its not rocket science, this should be easier once I’m on maternity leave as only DP will be going away for a few nights a week as appose to the currently arrangement where the entire family relocates a few hundred miles for a few nights a week for us both to go to work and facilities there are adequate but lacking many OS essentials (BM, freezer etc)

  • I've massively overspent on the grocery bill in December and I would like to challenge myself to a grocery bill of £40 a week during the month of January. Thats for 2 adults (one allergic to fish and cheap poultry), 15 year old vegetarian, 12 year old carnivore and a 4 year old. I have a well stocked larder.

Yes you can surprisingly easily. I regularly feed 5 (me, dh, dd (16), ds (14 & eats like a horse!) and ds (10) for between 30 and 70 a week. I can do it for the lower end now that I know some of the tips on here too! There's a grocery challenge thread & I particularly liked MBAZ's thread on feeding a family of 4 on #20 for a month. It was inspiring - just set aside some time to read through it, it's a long one.
Happy New Year & you'll get through January before you know it.
  • Thanks SunnyGirl. I'll look through that thread.
  • I've tried the grocery challenges before but went over budget. However, this month I have to do it out of necessity. So my budget for this month is £170 for food. This doesn't count toiletries and household goods. Though I will be keeping a tally of them.
