'Scuse my ignorance - what are Pinkies and Blueys? :rotfl:
Pinkies...the pink and white £5 off No7/ Ruby and Millie Vouchers given out in boots when you spend a certain amount.
Blueys...the blue and white £2 off hair care/ Bourjois vouchers given out in boots when you spend a certain amount.
Pinkies were very popular, but not in use right now..but will almost certainly be given out in the future.
Blueys were being given out before xmas and are still valid till 30/12.

seriously - vouchers that you get when you spend (usually) £5.
Comes in different flavours - the best is the pinkie which gives you £5 of No.7
recent blueys have included £5 off premium skincare, £2 off Bourjois/Maybeline and £2 off selected haircare.
The next one might be money off digital photo processingafter that we all hope it is the pinkie with £5 off No. 7. They usually are valid for 4 weeks, but tills often run out or are no longer given out about a week and half befor they run out. hth

alexandrite wrote: »Good Evening All,
Like many others I have been locked out of my Boots.com basket with the Generic Error Page (very annoying).
How can I get back in?
Thanks.
Log out. then do you shop as a guest, and at the end put in your details.
Or I think this might work, but I haven't really tested it properly - add what you want to your favourites list then try adding them to your basket - I seemed to be able to get in that way.
Or if all else fails try this - log out. give up and have a drink :rotfl:0 -

Well speed queen, I checked the online delivery tracking thing and my order said it was being "sorted", at droitwich spa!
I checked another order and yet again...it was at the same place.
It made me laugh, thinking that all the little boots parcels might be pampering themselves at a spa, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
whilst we are all wondering if we will get them or not.
Obviously I knew they weren't really doing that. Hence my post.
I have no idea where droitwich is, can you enlighten us, please.:)
A BIT OFF TOPIC BUT......
Apparenly all your parcels are coming from my home town, so heres some info!
Droitwich Spa, is located in the west midlands, in the county of worcestershire!
It is five miles from Worcester and approximately 23 miles from Birmingham
It currently has a population of around 25,000
The town is situated on massive deposits of salt, and salt has been extracted there since ancient times. The natural Droitwich brine contains 2 1/2 lb of salt per gallon - ten times stronger than sea water and only rivalled by the Dead Sea.
The saline springs, or ‘wyches’, of Droitwich have been used since Roman times and are mentioned in the Domesday Book. Their medicinal properties were realized in 1830, during a cholera epidemic. ( this is the spa bit)
Basically underneath Droitwich was alot of salt, which was mined and saline springs which were pumped by the romans. The only remnants of that now, is the Brine Baths which uses salt from under droitwich, it is more like the spa you were thinking of, its really odd because you cant help floating because of all the salt, very nice place actually, you can get facials massages etc ( which ironically closed a couple of weeks ago in the interest of health and safety! huge amounts of mould is what i heard!)
Oh and also because it was all pumped out, our high street is SUPER higgldy piggldy cos its sinking
Droitwich is full of cobble stones and black and white buildings, famous people that are from droitwich ar Ashley Giles ( crickiter) and Rick Mayall (comedian)
Im guessing the boots packing stuff is on one of the industrial estates on the outskirts, cos our boots is ridiculously small!
Thats about it really, very small place, lots of hairdressers and a nice waitrose, but thats about it really!
here is an informative, yet very funny video about Droitwich ( really worth a watch )
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XP7EikeD11g
glad i could be of help to you all,
still confuses me a great deal though, why little old droitwich,
and why cant i get any boots things i want if they are all 2 yards down the road!
Oh yeah just to add, we got MAJORLY flooded in the summer of 07, so half the high street is boarded up, loverly aint it!
Oh Yeah again, did any of you see Charlie Green on britains got talent... singing kid... kinds swing big band style...
well he's from droitwich, he turnes on our rather poor christmas lights this year!
Oh yeah again again... Droitwich is said on TV more than you wouild think, generally when a comedian is trying to think of a really obscure place.... Droitwich has been mentioned by Noel Fielding and Johnny Vaughan, and i doubt either of them have ever been to or seen droitwich!
