This isn't a particularly fabulous find, but in Boots today there were a few of the Soap and Glory half price gift sets (the one with the shower gel, moisturiser and glove) with the glove missing (I presume people nicked them, not quite sure why...). Anyway I didn't want the glove in the first place so they sold me the rest of it for a fiver. Not bad, as the moisturiser and shower gel are massive and will last ages - worth looking out for if you don't want the weird glove0

You did pretty well there! I managed to find one of these sets today hidden at the back of a display of tatand paid around £7 something for it. You're not missing much with the glove as it looks really wierd! The other products are great though and really generously sized :j

Like many others I have been locked out of my Boots.com basket with the Generic Error Page (very annoying).
How can I get back in?
Thanks. This worked for me last night
I added the stuff to my basket prior to logging in and had no problems ~ so try this
yet if i just log in with an empty basket I then have a basket with minus items inhave a generic error and cannot add anything to my basket. HTH

On my travels over the next couple of days. Have any of the Lincoln or Peterborough Bootsers seen the HSM alarm clock in or around their local stores? Sold out on .com. Many thanks for any help! x0

Thanks to those, the t/sps and the shshshshshsh .... we mustn't mention the R & M m*rr**s, my fellow SCPIB (Senior Citizen Partner In Boots) and I have stre-e-e-e-e-e-e-etched our meagre pensions to breaking point, and thrilled everyone with our gifts.
And during every present opening-fest, when people were putting gift bags and sparkly tissue paper into the bin, I was taking them out and saying "Must try and save the planet, I can find a home for these!"
Nobody else did this, and some sort of looked the other way, but some of the bags were very classy! I even did this in other peoples' homes, but they usually just smiled in a patronising way and said "That's Grandma for you"!
Hope it is true too. Just repeating what SA said. I have loads of birthdays Jan and Feb so it would help, maybe you could send me some of your fancy recycled bags!! (joking):rotfl::rotfl:

Well, my GWP order is still processing and no cash taken as yet. I was late in coming in on this and caught it right at the end (ish). So I don't expect anything to happen quickly. However, the delivery promise is for 5th Jan so I'm hoping that something should start to move soon.
Have to admit I've lapsed on keeping an eye on the boots thread. I think my New Years resolution should be to check the thread at least once a day.
As for wrapping stuff....people have started to hand me bags, paper and bows. They know that I will always re-use where I can. I'm becoming knows as a crafty little so-and-so.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Now, a question, dont know if anyone will be able to help. We are visiting the Inlaws tomorrow, down near Worthing. Does any one know if it is worth trying to persuade DH to set off half an hour early for a quick visit to the Boots there. I could work on him tonight (;) ) if its worth it!
TIA
If its the Boots on the retail park then YES! My Inlaws are in Worthing too and each time we visit I go there (and Beckton too! on the way)
They (Worthing) always seem to have the mags and I've never encountered a less than helpful SA there
I have a feeling there is a smaller Boots in the town centre but have never found it (too much good food & chatting with my lovely Inlaws to want to mooch out shoppin!:o )
You might find half an hour is not enough

Sweetie, you would be amazed at the quality of some of those bags that people were just chucking away. I was at a birthday party once and they had lots of giftbags from M & S, that I knew were a fiver each, with that decoupage stuff, and they just took the gifts out, exclaimed "Oh, that's awesome!" and threw the bag away.
Pleased to say they found a happy home! Anyway, I never liked the first Bluey, and the Bluey Two-ies were a pain, apart from the JK glitch, so au revoir to them.
So Mr Boots could you please make some New Year Resolutions for your loyal customer base? Firstly, let's have £5 (or even higher?) Pinkies, that are either exchangeable on worthwhile things, or can be used with a fabulous glitch, and could you please sort your blessed online system out!
We have quite enough to do in this world, raising our children and grandchildren to be the next generation of Bootsers, without spending ages trying to put things in baskets that jump out again, or coping with generic errors, that frankly, your techno staff should be fixing.
We all like a challenge, but sometimes you just set the bar so high, it exceeds gold medal Olympic winning expectations. And with my bad leg, I can't jump as high as I used to!
Also, perhaps you could ask your SAs and CS staff to ask themselves how they would like to be spoken to when they have a question/complaint. And could all branches sing from the same hymn sheet? It's very frustrating for people in Edinburgh to find there's a great find in Exeter, but not at their branch.
I hope you have made lots of profit from us, and will therefore consider giving something back to Mankind, or Womankind - sorry not to be PC, but Personkind sounds silly! And may 2009 be a good one for you - and us!

I went in a small Boots today and they had loads of stock. Came out with the S&G pucker bag thing. My Mom bought the No7 makeup set thing. (The one that was £70 then £35 in ootw) is now £17.06! Is a right bargain as the SA pointed out that 2 lipsticks cost £20.
I then went to a larger Boots and they were filling the empty shelves back up. I asked if they had any S&G and she said she had no idea as they have just had a huge delivery and she can't even get in to see what is there. So may be worth checking other stores through out the week as deliveries still coming.I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o0
