I went to my local boots and tried to use the S&G £2 off voucher on S&G Hand Food and the till bleeped. Apparently because S&G have a offer on (the spend £12 on S&G stuff and get a free gift pack) they would not let me use it even though I was only getting one item.

This voucher may turn out to be one of those that never works regardless (Like the £3 Sanctuary one  )

Technically you should have been able to use it with the one item
as you weren't taking advantage of the offer that was available.

It's hard to find anything in Boots that isn't on some kind of an offer. But some SA's will refer to that bit rather than look at the real reason the voucher won't scan.

I have 3 of these and was wondering what to use them, looks like it will be nothing

My favorite line when this happens is to ask them if they would mind pointing out an item (any item) that it will scan with and I will happily buy that.

I found some Pantene sachets in my second Boots of today, got a couple, plus a couple of 200mls Pantene shampoos, so like my 1st shop, boosted the points and now have 2 blinkies.

No7 GWP was there, but no Olay GWP - Boo Hiss!
They were still reducing the No7 range, had some dubious nail colours, and a fair amount of skin care. I may use one of my blinkies on the day cream, but I'm still perusing that fabulous No7 list that was posted here this morning :T .

Apart from racks and racks of Royal Jelly gift sets, plus some of the glass gifts, there really wasn't much else on the sale racks. I hope they do get new palletts for the 75% sale.

So, 2 stores down, 3 or so to go, to find that elusive Olay GWP (come on Notts Bootsters, own up, who's had them all????)

Have boots reduced to 75% yet, if not does anyone know when they might be????

Hallo Susi, the word on the block is that it will start next Wednesday, 14th, in store. But whether it starts then, or the day before, or tomorrow, is up to Mr B, and he's not likely to tell us! HTH

minimoneyme that is so helpful, thanks ever so much. I am off to Boots tomorrow to do just that as I bought items in store which are cheaper online. So, I will take them back and head to a photo counter and do a big online order instead. Fantastic. Thanks very much, so useful!
  • Fed and watered DGD, took her home, visited unhappy friend, gave her a goody bag with one of the Olay GWP, and a few other bits and pieces - she was so pleased.

Just had a thought .......... we're all saying (me included) Store A doesn't have much left in their sale, or Store B has overflowing shelves, but of course, none of us know what the situation will be in another week.

Store A could get a delivery from Store B, because the footfall, and therefore potential sales, is higher?

On the other hand, you could think of the number you first thought of, double it, multiply it by 7.34567777 recurring, take away the number you first thought of, and that's the store number that will have the most products and bargains!!!!!!

Is anyone having trouble with these?

I had a £1 off pantene one......tried to use it today & the SA *told* me it was out of date. I (politely) pointed out that it said 31st march 09 on the front but the reply was :

*i know but apparently they have been misprinted and you can't use it. The till says it's expired*

Now is it grumpy ol' me or is that just plain wrong?

This was in a store btw that are notorious (and not for the right reasons)......some of you will know the one i mean ;)

I would buy the stuff you want first and then do a return, just in case, as things are going out of stock on .com at an alarming rate  I think the in store orders come from the same 'pool' of stock as online .com iyswim?

Their mistake = their problem surely!
I would expect them to honour it........
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".
