Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 46 - Post your finds here

I sent an email to Boots CS telling them I couldn't afford to phone their number which is true as don't have a landline and only call 07, 0208 or 0207 or landlines numbers from my mobile.
They were very helpful and got back to me quite quickly by email and then called me to discuss the email.
Good luck in getting your problem solved.0 -

just 2 quick questions:-
* i used a £5 roc coupon to buy a roc product (product cost exactly £5) - i'm having second thoughts about it now! - if i returned this product - I still have the receipt what would happen?? - would i get £5 money back/boots store credit-vouchers/gift card??????
*also can i exchange unopened packets of botanics/no7 wipes without a receipt????
would be really grateful for any replies -thanksx
With the wipes, you should be able to exchange them, especially if you say they irritated you skin?
skibster - that feet dreams looks lovely I [strike]want[/strike] need some! I think we should lobby boots to stock it.
mimi - good news on your Dad - hope he continues to do well, still sending him prayers and good wishes.0 -
Yes exactly all those posh people are missing out on an advantage card & discounts.
Re -feet dreams. It does look good .I had a snoop around the internet and it seems it was discontinued at boots a while ago- drat at a bargain price. However it is still at sale in dear Harvey nics and in USA .
It seems to have got good reviews .I got one of these for £1.25 a while ago when there was some glitch with 2 points vouchers..not used it yet mind you
OMG just checked out your 'discontinued' link ..it must have been in the bottom of my stash all that time:eek:This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0 -

Last year the online 75% started around 3am on the Wednesday.
Wednesday...do you mean as in tonight or tomorrow 3am? If you get what I mean!0 -
moneysavingmumofone wrote: »Regarding the putting stuff in your basket making stuff oos as boots class it as a pending order, surely this isnt the case as many a time ive put stuff in my basket only for it to disappear and lots of people had things pinched from their baskets at checkout etc.
CS refer to any items in the basket as a 'Pending order' I have heard that phrase many times recently
But if someone else orders it and goes to checkout to pay, they will take the stock from the pending orders that haven't paid IYKWIM.
Basically first to pay gets the goods or not, as we all know from the other sales.  I think almost everyone here puts stuff in the basket for a virtual shop or to find prices etc, or even.... to look for glitches.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
Another quick question - can you use your points to buy things online ? I've only ever been to the 75% off sale in-store but am tempted to try on-line this year. But I don't want to spend any cash, I have a fair few points I'd like to use instead. Can I buy items in the 75% sale with my points ? Can anyone advise (and how to do it), thanks0

Ah thanks Pollsdolls.'They only had one cow!'0

Ahh shucks! I remember falling onto this thread and people were setting their alarm clocks for 3am etc and buying things.
I want a pushchair, does this mean I may not get it? Should I wait for 90% sale or 75%? DS wakes up about 2.30am at the moment, should I feed him, put him back to sleep and then run downstairs and log on?0 -

What you can do is go in store and order from .com (usually at the photo counter) and then pay with points. But I imagine this wouldn't work with the 75% sale because of stock going oos all the time, you might miss out on something you really want.
you can use your points in store on the sale goods, though :jhth0 -

Thanks minimoneyme, I suspected as much. Never mind. I will have to brave the in-store sale and just hope they have all I want. By the way anyone know what the sale stock levels are like in Reading (Oracle or Broad Street), should I go there for the 75% sale or go to Maidenhead (where I went today and they had lots of stock). Thanks !0
