I have just rang CS and was told you can only cancel your order within the 1st hour of placing it
Now I have to wait on despatch email, ring up refuse order then wait on refund
Hi MrsBB hope you well xxxxx0 -
There isnt one but if you try to put a stupidly high amount in your basket ie 99, it will normally say 'insufficient stock available' and just adds however many are there. Just remember to empty your basket again at the end and then you know whether you NEED to order straight away or can risk waiting a bitBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

Count yourselves lucky that you still get mailings as some of us on here haven't had so much as a double points coupon in years. CS reckon the mailings are sent out randomly yet I've noticed it's the same people who get them every time so if yours isn't very good this time as least you're getting them and you might get some fabby ones next time around.
Plus for those wanting no chat so the glitches are easier to spot - it just means Mr.B. also finds it easier to find them and takes them away!
Ok, fair enough, sorryOn the mailing front I've thought about it, and I will use most of mine, was just disappointed that the R&M one wasn't for No7 as I'm trying to keep spending down to a minimum at the moment  Still, I can always get something R&M for someone's birthday or Christmas hamper/basket.
And on the subject of getting mailings, I had an Advantage Card for 14 years before I got a mailing, so there's hope yet for some of you
*Edited AGAINto add* In fact the whole of Boots' targeting of customers using mailings and ACM vouchers seems to be a bit random - I never got half the ACM vouchers some of you were offered in December, and vice versa, would be nice if they sent/offered the same to everyone!

Is it worth starting a new thread for the new ts/acm offers? Thread is getting huge, and the original post is out of date now. Would start a new one, but didn't want to offend anyone, and doubt I could do crazyposhgal justice :rotfl:Craftster.com is eating all my free time!0

That's a good point and a word of warning to those ordering online -- it sounds like using Paypal can create more problems if you need a refund, and with the slapdash way Boots packages orders and the frequent mistakes Boots makes, there's a fair chance you'll want to return something! Might be best to stick to credit cards.
Just thought I would let people know. I now stick to only paying by credit card with .com for that exact reason. A few months back I had an order cancelled and re-ordered it, then lo and behold both orders turned up...Was told by CS to return to store and the refund put on my CC even though I had paid by paypal. Got to the store, and SA would not do it at all. Spoke to CS on the phone who told me I had been misinformed and they never refund paypal orders on to CCs, they only refund a paypal order once you have sent the order back to .com and they have received it. Then they will process a refund, I was told this process can take up to two weeks, which imho, if thats the time they say it can take, it probably can take longer! I stuck to my guns and demanded a refund onto my CC as it was their error, and got it in the end but trust me - ordering and hoping you can canel and not be charged is not a good idea, it can be very hit and miss.Treasurer and Co Founder of - The Smile It Won't Hurt Club

No need to say sorry, like I said it wasn't aimed at anyone.
I used to get mailings years ago but all of a sudden they stopped. I rang CS and all they could suggest was joining the Health Club which I did but I don't think I got the last mailing for that either :mad:0 -

Hi there
There is no need to start new threads. This is the only Boots thread for grabbits. CPG will update the front page very soon, I'm sure, as she is great at these things. It's best to keep it all in one place otherwise it gets messy!!!

I placed an order with .com on xmas eve, with some sale items, i had a promised delivery date of 2nd jan, but as yet no parcel has turned up and nor have i been charged for it, i have tracked it down with the courier whos website tells me it is with customer, i have just called CS to be told that my parcel has gone missing in transit!!
The guy did offer to replace the items, but out of 17 items ordered, only 2 items were now in stock, so, he has refunded for the whole order instead, plus put 2000 points onto my card for all my inconvenience:p , However, i am really disappointed as 4 of the items ordered were for forthcoming birthdays which i have no chance of getting now as local stores are practically out of sale items.
If i havent been charged for this package as yet, am i still likely to get the refund:rolleyes: ie... boots pay me for the order not received and also £20 in points? And, what will happen to the points that i received from the order? because i used a code for 500 additional points wys £50 which i have already collected (and spent!!) from the ACM despite my package not even being received.
Anyone else had a similar experience? It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
