However, I just seem to 'get on' with the stepper. I now do 5000 steps every morning (takes me about 25 minutes) and I have lost 39 lbs so far (still more to go though).

I've got a LTT (well my mum bought it and never used it, so I've started using it!!!). I've just got some power cords and a better workout DVD to go with.

    I must admit I've VERY impressed with 5000 in 25 mins! I thought I was doing well with 500 in 20! :o

I Bought this one from ARGOS
£24.99 and does the job. Ideal for me as I smashed my ankle last year, it's taken until now- with physio -to manage excercise.

Started by doing 10mins but increased to 30mins now. The muscle has built up brilliantly compared to how thin it became after being in plaster for months! There's no hard impact on the ankles or knees!

Note that istepper does squeak a bit after around 15mins but with the soaps on full blast (Keeps me going!!), I hardly notice!!!;)

Why don't you all look at the Boots thread and get a free Ab Toner.

Ditto, 5-7 days I do not think so!!!!!

I rang them and they say that the courier they have used has had problems - it is not Parcelforce as the website shows. They offered to send out a replacement but given that they will be using the same carrier I chose the refund.

Can anyone advise me please? I need to do some training for some serious mountain walking this summer, and there are no hills where I live. Would one of these hydraulic machines be the answer to getting those climbing muscles going or are they really intended for people wanting to burn fat?

I have been considering one of these for ages now & after reading this thread I tried to chase up a sainsburys version. I called my 2 local stores 1 claimed never to have had them in the other kindly informed me they had actually had quite a few returns as they seemed to break. So it might be worth avoiding the sainsburys ones. Looks like the hunt is back on.
£50 is more than I can spend unfortunately so I'll keep on the look out & if anyone sees them cheaper please shout about it.

I braved the outside world and went to Argos - thanks Welshlamb. Got the £50 Reebok and it is very well put together so I am happy now.

Thanks for your help and suggestions everyone.
