    Great post !

Thos 6 second abs things though, can be picked up at those chepo shops and large markets for under £20.

I would love to see how use wholesale system works, as these things start on TV. Then end up in the shops similar to poundland (but for more of course)
I saw one of the abs products on the internet earlier for under £20. x

How similar? Does it have the side to side movement as well as the up and down?

Yes it does. And two pull string type things to hold on to and the counter. Was going to get it but decided I would probably never get round to using it!

I bought this very stepper last summer and it is fantastic. This from someone who has in the past bought and dumped every fitness machine going:rolleyes:

However, I just seem to 'get on' with the stepper. I now do 5000 steps every morning (takes me about 25 minutes) and I have lost 39 lbs so far (still more to go though).

I am seriously tempted by the sit up ab thingy, but wonder whether that will go the way of other past fitness machines.

Just one note - the stepper shown here is a pneumatic type and the ones shown on telly sales adds are the Lateral Thigh Trainer (LTT). The LTT is a lot larger and harder to store (my sister in law has one). Also the LTT is a chain operated thing rather than a pneumatic operation. (Sort of like a bike chain under the frame of the LTT). I guess it's just personal preference, but just to warn you they are not all the same.

Sorry to bother hesjane, but did you get yours from Play.com?! I understand that you said everything is personal preference but my mum has been looking for one of these for ages. Or did you get yours in sainsburys like was suggested previously?! £25 obviously would be preferable, but wondering if thats the same one.... sorry it's very early and couldn't quite work that out!

Thanks for your comments. Could you tell me the one you are talking about (the play.com one?) that is pneumatic. What does that mean? Thanks! x

Having checked with hubby this morning - apparently I meant HYDRAULIC and not pneumatic. Well - it was early hours of the morning!

Seriously though, I have the hydraulic one (the one shown on Play.com) and having used both prefer this one, although again I will say it is probably down to personal preference. As for how well they work, I bought a pair of of knee length boots (over the internet) and when they came I couldn't do the zip more than just over half way up. I was going to send them straight back, but forgot and just 8 days later, after regularly using the stepper, they went on without any problems.

God I sound like an advert:rotfl:

I actually got mine from Ebay. I haven't seen the one in Sainsbury's, so it might be exactly the same as the one from Play. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone, just wanted to point out that some have hydraulic mechanisms and some have chain driven ones.

I'll have a google and see if I can find piccies of both showing the workings and come back to you all.

After reading some of the comments of this thread I might get it back off her and start using it myself. :D

Inspired by your success Hesjane I ordered this from Play. Enthusiasm is waning when they still havent delivered it! They will not investigate failed deliveries for a fortnight but have been fast enough to take it from my credit card.

I did see one for £20 + vat in Makro but it was very shoddy. It is like buying a cheap exercise bike, you do get what you pay for on these things.

  • Here's another one thats even cheaper at £39.95, it's the hydraulic type, and comes with free delivery :T
