    If you have any creditors that are really on your case then it would be best to let them know that you have this appointment on 3rd Feb. It shows them that your taking resposibility. Not only that some companies will hold any further action until your financial situation has been fully assessed.

    I've found in the past that writing to creditors and asking them to freeze any interest and to put the account on hold whilst you consult someone to help with your situation actully works. It also takes the pressure off you for a while and gives you some breathing space.

    As long as they know that your doing something proactive to resolve things most are ok.You'll probably find that the ones you owe the largest amounts to will be the most sympathetic.
