Some companies refuse to deal with personal letters offering debt rescheduling. If you get that sort of response then suggest you should bite the bullet and get help from a money advisor at CAB or help from National debt line - I found the letters,
budget forms and their booklet very informative. You don't have to take their advice or help but filling in the breakdown of your spending and debts and how little you can realistically pay is a great wake up call. Best of luck to you.2.00 COIN CLUB = £36.00  ! [/SIZE]

IWILLSORTMYDEBTSOUT! wrote:Thanks bank_of_slate_and_nazi and DesG, followed the links but it appears they cannot provide me with a report as all my accounts are maxed out.
HELP!!
Can you afford a cheque for £2 that is all the reports cost per company, go with experian first.

If you can't write a cheque because you are over limit, then get a postal order for £2 down the post office.
Here is the experian link for the application form for the £2 report http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/index.html?order

Thanks for the links Des, I'll leave it till next week when I'll have some funds available.
Will try a letter asking for debt rescheduling to all my debtors and see what the response is.0 -
Don't get down about your finances, yes your in the poo at the moment but think how bad things would have got if you hadn't starting changing things now. Remeber be realistic you won't give up going out, buying things and having fun forever but each needs to be cut down drastiically. i would also take the next 2 months and spend the minimum possible to see how little you could spend, no nights out , no treats , packed lunches for work, no haircut nothing at all! Then when the 2 months are over you can decide what you can't live without and what you have quite easily gone without and not missed. Good luck and remeber even when it doesn't feel like it there is light at the end of the tunnel and better to sort now then get deeper and deeper in debt.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080

Thanks for that Batgirl!
I didn't feel too bad about things until I actually sat down and worked out the true extent of my problems this week. Then I felt really bad and like well and truly I'd screwed things up in my life but now I can see there is a way out. At the end of the day it's only money!
I can certainly agree with other posters when they say there is real motivation in logging every penny spent and seeing the total debt slowly getting lower and lower.
Thanks again0 -

Took my first major step today (well it felt like it to me) and called Payplan, have got a appointment on 03 February.
Quick question someone will probably be able to answer which I forgot to ask them is in the intervening time should I write to everyone I owe money to informing them of this appointment and request that they no longer chase me as I/Payplan will be in touch after my appointment?0 -
Excellent!
You've taken the all important first step....until you get a reply to your question I would recommend you dance around the living room naked!
