I'm currently using microsoft money which is good. Looking for something simpler and cloud based.
I use Microsoft Money and I love it, it does everything I want and more.
But I'm getting a Chromebook for Xmas, so I'm looking for something cloud based as well. My laptop won't be entirely redundant, as I will still need it for certain things, but want to make it so I can balance my account on the Chromebook.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £16,087.170 -
Has anyone tried Ontrees yet?
I use it daily to keep track of my accounts.
The only 2 problems I have with it are
a) My TescoBank accounts don't work with it,
b) They've started added adverts.
But all in all for a free service that lets me view all my accounts it's brilliant. They even sent me a free t-shirt when I emailed them for help setting up one account.Better to keep silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Hi all,
So as I understand it the UK does have a few alternatives to mint.com.
Given the new years just started, I have really started looking into budgeting. I think its time to move from using envelopes onto a cloud based platform, that can sync with my web browser (so I can use it on my PC) and also on my phone for transactions on the go.
The options that seem viable are:
1) OnTrees
2) Money Dashboard
3) Love Money
4) YodLee
5) toshl.com
From what I have seen:
OnTrees has no android app, which means I would have to buy an iPhone to use it on the go (or use the web version on my android phone, if that works).
Money Dashboard, is now all very modern and no longer uses silverlight, infact it requires no plugins, so I am assuming it is all HTML5 based.
LoveMoney, seems to be a good contender with money dashboard.
YodLee - It seems like the terms and conditions do state that you need to be a US citizen (just did a CTRL+F in there). Given that I am about to give them my bank details, and trust them with it, I would at least like the company to be based in the UK.
Toshl seems to be quite intuitive, and easy to use and they have both iPhone and android apps.
I haven't actually registered for any of these, but wanted some opinions. Any thought between these apps? Anyone used them recently?0 -
Money dashboard is ok. but it does not have an app.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Wish there was an English version of FINTONIC it really is fantastic.
Its apparently Spanish, my daughter uses it all the time, and has many many accounts. Can't find anything like it here yetWhen man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -

I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but I was able to add my UK bank account (Lloyd's) to my mint.com account. So I am assuming that it is now available in the UK? The only caveat is that mint.com does not seem to do currency conversions when displaying figures. My Canadian bank accounts are displayed along my UK bank account, and the figures are correct. It just doesn't convert my UK account to CAD dollars, so the totals displayed are inaccurate.0

Sorry, reviving an old thread here.
But MoneyDashboard, is now my goto app for seeing all my finances in one place. Their webapp is awesome and the mobile app is really good.
If you want to test them out, go through quidco/tcb - they paid me £10 or £12 for signing up to moneydashboard a few months ago now. So naturally I signed up for my wife too and added an old account with an 11p balance for twice the cashback!0 -
Mint.com offers some kind of integration with brokerage accounts. None of 1) OnTrees
2) Money Dashboard
3) Love Money
4) YodLee
5) toshl.com
seem to offer this.
I use wikinvest.com, which integrates with OptionsXpress, which I use, but it doesn't cope with futures correctly, and I was rather hoping to find something suitable.
If you just want integration of bank and credit card accounts then Wave Accounting does a fabulous job. I have been using it for three months and there is nothing I've found that it can't do so far, although I've yet to try to connect foreign currency accounts.0 -
I've been using Money Dashboard for a while now but my Metro Bank account doesn't work with it, as this is my main bank account this is a big flaw for me!!!
Does anyone know if Metro works with Love Money? I don't really want to sign up for another site if it's not going to solve my problem....0
