I do know that First Direct, HSBC and Santander are currently NOT working with Money Dashboard.

I believe both these banks changed the way their logins work recently, and it's now a case of waiting for Money Dashboard to catch up, although they stopped working in August, so it's taking a long time.

My FD account and Santander CC account all work with Money Dashboard.

I'm a longtime Mint user, and after moving to the UK, I was looking for something similar for my accounts here. I ended up trying out moneydashboard. So far, it is acceptable. It works fine with my Lloyds tsb current account and MBNA (virgin atlantic) credit cards. An annoyance is MD has no mobile app, though one of their customer service people said that one was in the works, but I believe they've been saying that for over a year.

Mint is clearly superior w/r/t site looks, useability, mobile access, and feature set, and I just wish they would expand to the UK. But if you're just looking for a single site to aggregate a good portion of your financial life in the UK, Money Dashboard is probably the best option currently available.

Actually, Yodlee Money Center works with both US *AND* UK accounts together. Yodlee is what all of these companies (Mint, Money Dashboard, etc) use to connect to the banks. This is just Yodlee's own version of the front end. It has mobile apps and everything. Dont know why it took me so long to find it...

Nice find zero998. This may be what I've been looking for all this time. Currently I use LoveMoney.com, but will take a look at Yodlee.

I have followed zero998 advice, and tested https://moneycenter.yodlee.com and have found their offering to be far superior to LoveMoney, and Moneydashboard.

    Its faster
Can be tailored to your requirements
    Far more features
    ........just all round better!

I have now entirely switched to using Yodlee's offering.

Love the idea of this - I am so frustrated with having to use my pin sentry when all i want to see is my balance. I rarely have it with me, so am usually sailing blind.

    So i tried:
    Yodlee
    - Added HSBC and MBNA cards fine. Sent me an email telling me I was near my credit card limit on one of my accounts which was helpful.
    - Couldn't add Barclays Pin Sentry Account despite 5 attempts. Kept on getting 'time out' messages.

    Got frustrated, so i tried:
    LoveMoney
    - Barclays added really fast.
    - Couldn't set up HSBC. Just wouldn't load data. Tried deleting and adding again. No love. The interface didn't ask me for pin sentry information, which made me feel that at may not be correctly set up for HSBC (Yodlee did ask for pin sentry data).

Also the interface came up with some weird graphics saying i'd spent £XXX on car insurance and £XX on the dentist that month when in reality I'd spent nil on either.

So.... scratched my head, swore and went back to Yodlee. Finally managed to add Barclays on the 6th attempt.

Yodlee feels far more professional and can connect to more accounts. It does appear slow to load some accounts though and you may need spend a while setting it up. I have successfully added:

    - HSBC current account
    - HSBC credit card
    - MBNA credit card
    - Barclays current account
    - iii account (appears to show your P&L during the month rather than the value of you total holdings, which is a bit odd as the credit/debit cards show the balance, not the movement)

In summary - Yodlee wins in the UK.
However a lot of room for improvement - clunky interface, and no iphone/ipad/android app.

    Hope this was helpful.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone in this thread, I've heard so many good things about Mint and have wanted a UK version for years - but it seems Yodlee is a good alternative!

Has anyone managed to enter a Santander personal account to the site yet?

I enter my details (correctly as I logged in properly side by side) and it asks a more specific question (ie fathers middle name) but then says my password is incorrect?
  • In response to the previous posts highly recommending the use of yodlee.com I've just discovered the following line in their terms and conditions:
In order to register or use Yodlee MoneyCenter, you must be at least 18 years old, a United States resident and legally capable to enter into contracts

Soo.... this is no good for those of us which aren't US citizens presumably?

Are people here using it anyway? Could that cause problems down the line?
