Is it best to return your last DVD, remove all items and cancel when lovefilm.com shows the DVD's been returned, or is it best to cancel as soon as the last DVD is posted?
  • Hiya,
I tryed to get another free trial from love film with 2 different email addresses and it didnt work so i cancelled them accounts but love film has taken a £3 out of my back by taking a pound each day since saturday, i dont want to ring up and say i tryed to scam them by getting another account which i manged to do by changed my postcode slightly and i dont want to get caught out!

You will get the £3 back within 7 days as they do this when someone joins them they do a test debit to make sure you have the funds in your account so dont worry it will go back onto your account within 7 days.

    cancel then return
  • You can't cancel then return. Remove all the films out of your queue so they have nothing to send you and then return the film with PLENTY of time left (i mean days here) then cancel. If you leave it too late they will take a months payment from you and they won't cancel the account with a film outstanding.

I know this from experience. Good luck.

    Yes I am sure,

They do it to make sure you are who you say you are and that there are funds in your account.

  • I removed my wish list 2 days ago, posted the last film I had back yesterday and got proof of posting from the post office. Called Lovefilm 5 minutes ago as it would not let me cancel online.

They asked me why, I said because it wasn't for me and that was it. All cancelled. Nice and easy and friendly person on phone too.
  • I just did an interview with lovefilm for some customer research, got an extra month on my trial, so I'll have had a 4-month trial before I have to start paying!
