Thank you Lemon Tree. x x

It's miserable here today, rainy and cold...doesn't feel like Summer, you can tell that Wimbledon is on the horizon lol, it always brings pap weather.

On the job front I have two interviews this week, one is admin in an office, the other is working in a fruit & veg shop (oooo think of all that free slightly past it fruit and veg to take home :D)...I don't mind what work I do at the moment, I will do any job. As long as the money starts rolling in, I can look at career prospects later on.

    I won £10 on Sun Bingo yesterday...so things are looking up...just a touch. :)
  • Hey bamby, good luck on the jobs (ummmm, free fruit and veg:D)

And a big well done on your win on bingo!!!!!! i never win owt when i try on any bingo sites, get all exited when i need one number but then someone always beats me to it!!!!!

how is your weight loss going (or are you not trying anymore?) i havent lost any pounds but since going back to work i have lost a few inches.

    Hi there Rags :)

Weight loss has gone better than the debt reducing...one stone down, two to go.
Instead of following a diet, I have just been eating "light" meals and fruit as snacks.
I have made quite a few homemade chicken and veg stews and they are light but really filling. It also means I can use the chicken carcass up and rubbery veg. I am trying not to waste a penny at the moment so for tea I had boiled egg and soldiers, the bread was past it and the egg had todays use by date on it and it was scrummy.

It's good to lose inches as that is what really matters, losing the inches is what makes you feel and look slimmer. How are you finding it back at work Rags?

It turned out to be a stunning afternoon here after all, blistering sunshine and a light, refreshing wind. So I cracked on with the gardening and cut back the ivy that monopolised our fence. In the next few days I am hoping to start planning a herb garden, I love fresh herbs and managed to get some cheap seeds a few months ago, so that is next on the agenda.

I also spent an hour photographing things for Ebay but I can't be bothered to list them tonight, I will list them tomorrow instead...oh yes and I earned 10p filling in a poll. :rotfl:

My 18 year old son has gone on his first holiday away with friends today (Spain) so I am excited for him but still apprehensive. I can't wait until he gets home...never thought I would think that, little pain in the bottom that he is. :)
  • Hey bamby, the chicken and veg stew sounds yummy!!!! can i pinch your recipe???? something i can leave for the boys when im at work.

Work is ok although am on a new floor now and dont seem to have the same enthusiasm (sp?) think its because i spend alot of the day on my lonesome as i give out breakfast now in a morning whilst the careres get them up. Also finding the 12 hour shifts a bit hard, spesh when ds2 hasnt slept the night before............but its money and the manager still has here great plans for me..................................

When do you expect to hear bout your jobs that you applied for???

I am doing a bit of grow your own and hoping to include a herb garden, just need to remember to use the herbs once they've grown!!!!!

    Hullo :)

Twelve hour shifts! I remember those well Rags lol, I pity you as I certainly would have struggled have such a young one at home...sleep deprivation and all that jazz.

I go for both job interviews tomorrow, so I am not sure when I will hear back...as soon as possible I hope. I have applied for another three jobs today...my printer is on overdrive with all the CV's it is whizzing off. Fingers crossed for a result in the near future.

I can't give you an exact recipe, what ever veggies I have get thrown in but the base of the stew is chicken stock (carcass that has been stewed for an hour, bones removed and remaining bit of chicken left in stock), browned onions, one garlic glove, one stock cube, salt, pepper, a few cubed potatos and whatever veg. I usually bung a few dumplings on top but as I am trying to lose weight I have been missing those off recently.

I have done so much listing on Ebaying today I feel as though I have a hunched back. But I am pleased to say I have had a very productive day: posting parcels, tidying up, power walked for an hour, applying for jobs, sorting through and paying bills, earning 20pence from free scratchies, £1 for writing a holiday review and £26 on Ebay for a collection of old jewellery. I have also lost another 2lbs this week so I am very, very, pleased...the way things are going I maybe able to fit comfortably back into my suit for tomorrow interviews rather than having that belly overhang. :D

I am planning to have a TV free day tomorrow as I will be busy during the day and I want to have a really productive evening getting things done...that will mean no Big Brother, Judge Judy or Wire in the Blood for me.
I may indulge in a manicure and pedicure as a treat for being TV FREE...it is unheard of in our home.

Rightieho I am off to watch BB with a hot cup of coffee, night all.x x

Thank you ladies :kisses3: ...I am quite nervous today, I hate job interviews...but needs must.

It is a lovely day here so I think I will walk to the fruit shop interview, it will take an hour but will save petrol money. I shall not walk to the office interview though, I don't think it will look good if I turn up all red faced and sweaty.

This morning is bathroom clean and tidy time. I have already been down the bathroom cupboards and found plenty of soap, boxes of toothpaste and new disposable razors at the back that I forgot I had. That will save buying for a while. I have put cotton wool soaked in vinegar around the taps where the limescale has built up, then covered it in cling film. Apparently the limescale is easy to remove after a few hours and no harsh, expensive chemicals are required.

Dinner is already done so I don't have to faff later when I come in, spagetti cabonara - the sauce is prepared (using reduced price smoked ham instead of bacon) and the spagetti will be put in a pan of water to soak before I go for my second interview this aftie.

My favourite bit of news today is...we paid up our Capital One CC last month and now it is getting cut up and cancelled...yeha! One down four to go.:j

    Have a fab day

    Bam x x
