HI there Rags,
Yes thanks I am fine.
I am having problems with my lappy at the moment, so it is at the repair centre being fixed...I have just nipped on to my mothers p.c to check online banking. I am really missing being online.
I will be back to making regular updates soon. Keep up the good work everybody.
Take care Bam x0 -

Hi all....:p
After a few months of things and expenses going awry...I am back on the debt busting road.
The last three months have seen myself being made redundant and currently unemployed
(however I am job hunting tres seriously, if I don't get a job soon we could get in to a financial calamity...more so than we already are!)
One of my dogs had to have an operation that wasn't covered by pet insurance (adding £2000 to the credit cards) and our car was clattered by a hit and run driver...leaving us with a nice £900 bill. If I didn't smile, I would cry...actually I have a few times.
BUT now I have got myself back into super-action, super frugal mode.
The next few days I shall be listing up our current debts and the debt busting plan we shall be following to hopefully crush them into smithereens.
Obviously paying them up by December is unlikely...but we will chip away and do what we can.
But for now...I am back...and for the first time in a few weeks, feel ready to tackle the problem and kick some financial butt.

P.S On the upside I have lost 14lbs in the last few weeks :j(stress is a wonderful diet!)0

Hey bamby, welcome back!!!!!!
Really sorry to hear bout your job, after all the hours you put in too................ anyways onwards and upwards!!!!
Hope your dog is ok now? £2K is a hefty vet bill, and big BOOOO to hit and run drivers. my brothers first car was wrote off by a drunk hit and run, we saw it happen but they never got who did it. took them 3 hours to come out and see the car let alone 'owt else.
as always will be here cheering you on from the sidelines!
love rags

Thanks for the warm welcome back Rags.

You are doing well with your debt target...well done you. X x
Well I have done a tally up and things are as stands:
Original debt@ Jan 1st 2009 = £13'853
Debt@ June 13th 2009 = £12'032
So a slight improvement, but no where near where wanted to be as the half year mark approached.
So back to the drawing board, we know the bottom line and we know what we need to do to get it sorted.
In order: me a job, more money earning, less spending, wiser financial choices.
Current Debts
Mbna - £1507, Barclay - £3497, Virgin 1 - £4899, Virgin 2 - £2129. :mad:0 -
Just a quick update on todays MSE efforts.:money:
Our Asda delivery came today (free delivery courtesy of this site tyvm) and I bought two weeks worth of groceries for £51.00. That is £25.50 per week which is about all week can afford at the moment until I get a job. Also we won't be able to pay anything extra off the cards other than the minimum until I get another job as my O/H's wages only just cover our current direct debits, bills, day to day living and credit card repayments.
Talking of employment I also applied for three jobs online, fingers crossed for a result from one of them.
I put a few things on Ebay which should hopefully bring a few more pounds in to the pot and I cooked a chicken, portioning it into four different meals.
Not forgetting I also won 20p on free scratchies...:D.
Just been for a lovely evening walk in the sunshine with the O/H and the three mutts. It was really pleasant to then just sit in the sunshine and chat. It reminded me that not all wonderful things cost money.
Well I am off for a cool shower before Big Brother starts...roll on tomorrow. :T

Stunningly beautiful weather today, too nice to stay in but I have things to do!
We are tidying the garage out today; there are old bikes, defunct tools, computer chairs, DVDs, DVD recorders, portable Tvs....allsorts of stuff that need sorting. I will have three piles by the end of the morning i) stuff to sell, ii) stuff to recycle/freecycle/charity shop iii) stuff to take to the dump.
Hopefully we will be finished by this afternoon and then we can take a few sandwiches and a flask of tea and go and find somewhere nice to sit in the sun for a few hours.
Hope you all have a great Sunday,

hi bamby, good to see you posting again. sorry to hear you've been made redundant, what a bu99er. I hope you find something soon. isn't today a change from yesterday, we were stuck indoors yesterday doing a table top sale but it was a bit of money. whereas today it's tipping it down and we have a stonking thunder storm which has been going on for a few hours now.0
