Just as I emailled Kemps to find out where my parcel of wool was the postman knocked with it so very happy. Know what I will be doing this weekend.

Thanks Soblivion for the link to the talking things.

    Hi shezmit

I have a sock monkey already made up if you want it, it was one of the first ones I ever did but its still quite nice. Sorry but all my pics have vanished off my photobucket account so can't show you a pic but its a pink, grey and white striped one. Let me know if you want it and I will post it out to you:D

ETA : Just found another one up in the bedroom if you want that, it's all black with a white bum, white head and white mouth with a knitted red hat and scarf set.

ETA: Here's a pic of them Shelley, hope it works

I want to make some christmas decorations as well out of felt to hang across the dresser (snowmen, mittens, gingerbread mean) will I have to put some kind of thin foam or stuffing in them ? Can''t quite imagine them hanging right if they're just a piece of felt.

Hi Mary, I made a little gingerbread man for a friend's baking hamper and I just stitched together 2 layers of the felt using a contrasting thread with a little fold of ribbon sewn in at the top for hanging it. It was pretty stiff when I was finished but I think a little stuffing in it would have looked cute too :)

Shezmit, this sounds like a great cause, however, given the time it takes me to make one I would rather give the money than make one to sell, one of my friends said I should think about a craft business but given the time it takes to make anything I would end up earning about 50p an hour, it's a labour of love though :o

JailhouseBabe - thanks. I think I'll put some stuffing in mine. Shouldn't think they'll need a lot.

she grinch - brilliant links -love the bear with the pocket

sian - thanks. A little bit of stuffing sounds like it might be needed but I'll see how it goes.

Think I'd better double check my list of 'stuff to do' and make a start otherwise it'll be christmas 2010.............:rotfl:

craftlady - bargain ! Well done. I've got three empty (well soon to be empty) twiglets tubes so I'll cover them with paper, the rest I'll make smaller and pop into gravy granule tubs
