    xmassofarbj6.th.jpg

Im tempted to see if I could sell the bags to raise more funds for the hospice... will see if im feeling brave enough :rotfl:
Im also waiting for my kemps order :j .... Im going to try and be good and use what I have first :p ....right back to the x stitch ;) then back to another crochet bag I started yesterday -this one is in cream/coffee colours

keep the ideas coming folks :T

My goodness MRSMCAWBER, you've been busy, you'll be all finished by March. I love them all but my favourite is the striped scarf, great colours and very chic.

I've seen that too and thought it could be replicated. I've never seen wooden whisks anywhere though???

I haven't either, thought it could be done with metal ones but didn't know whether you could use metal in a saucepan?

They've got some on ebay but even the cheapest with P&P is dearer than the whole package from lakeland.

I've also seen the whisk you a merry kissmas ones but they're done with hershey kisses, probably can't get those. I wonder though whether anyone would get the joke who wasn't from the US.

I've popped photos of the 65th birthday survival kit i've made for MIL and dammit doll for auntie on my blog if anyone wants to look :)www.amoregreenandsimplelife.blogspot.com
sorry couldn't get the photos on here
The odd sock bag is nearly finished will stick that on the blog too when it's done- I'm making it for myself as a tester, then if i'm happy will try and make some as pressies.

can't wait for kemps wool order to arrive i want to try and knit some little bags to put bits and bobs in for dd to give to her friends for birthdays

has anyone come across good ideas for pressies to make for boys? got several between 5 and 10years to buy for, so far i've thought of a "jar of jokes" (ie just print off internet and put in a jar), and putting green bubblebath/ shower gel into a plastic seethrough jar with plastic bugs in it- might encourage them to wash?!?

thanks to this site this christmas I'm going to have a go at the pots of gold
I'm going to make a romantic night in for my brother in law and his wife as they've got 2 young children and don't get much time alone
    I was thinking
decorated candle, homemade heart shaped muffins , heart shaped chocolates
bottle of wine and a love songs cd any other ideas anyone ???
I'm going to make handmade biscuits and sweets and have already bought some lovely little whicker baskets to put them in
I'm going to make up and hope to sell at school bazaars
    snowman soup and reindeer poop
also love the whisk with the little chocolate balls in
'we whisk you a happy merry christmas ' of something similar might do that for the females in the family as well
I tried decorating candles and loved them so will be making some of those as well
keep the ideas coming they're all fantastic !!

Thanks... but the stripey one is a crochet blanky :rotfl: - about the size of a single duvet cover -Im going to back it with fleece for my mum when she is sat in her chair x stitchin (although now you have suggested it I could make a scarf like that with the rest of the wool for my 16 year old nephew...he loves the really long Dr who scarves) *runs of to make a start* :rotfl:

    Hi Wonderful ideas on here
I am planning boxes of home made cards, gift bags, tags and other little bits and pieces for gifts. The bags dont show up to well but are made using blue and green marbling inks. They look much richer in colour in real life

Hope they will be well received. I often use photos for the cards from the recipients own garden or flowers from their garden etc etc

Thats something I could do for MIL - she's housebound so relies on other people to get cards for her. If I do a few birthday and a few blank ones she'll be covered for the year. If she likes them I'll do some christmas ones for her.
Her birthdays not till June so I've got plenty of time:j

sunrise - I've got some boxes I had some notelets in and think I might cover one of those with some nice paper and also pop in a pen and some stamps
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Sorry:o it's hard to tell from the photo, going to be one stylish and cosy blanky with the fleece though. I'll look forward to seeing that chic scarf yet then LOL

chalky75, what lovely cards and such a fabulous idea, I'm positive they'll be well recieved.
