  • Do you know what, I really enjoyed doing it and it has given me a good idea of the kinds of things people like. I would like to do some Christmas fairs next year and the items at 50p each seem to be best sellers, I think you could charge a little more if you did them at a craft fair though. The 'Perfect man' if it were in a bag I didn't have to make myself would be a reasonable one to do. Seems crazy to be thinking of next year already doesn't it! (is that just me?)

Still on the list for next week is some more chocolate slabs for a friend and a safe jar for my aunty, if I get time, I am working right up to Christmas eve!

I wanted to share with you some of my (very basic) crafting and also ask for some advise from those who actually have imagination /inspiration - which i severly lack!!
I've made some decorations for the tree. i was experimenting with the size and have decided i much prefer the smaller ones!

I've started making my son a stocking (excuse the photos they are rubbish!)
but i dont know what else to do to it!! you cant see on the pics but there are little beads and sequins so it looks abit sparkly! I want to put his name at the bottom. do i do it in felt or sequins or something else? what colour? honestly i'm feeling so uninspired now! i've come to a halt and really want to finish it for this xmas!! the gold fabric is the lining if your wondering!

I've been wondering about this post and whether you ever got the letters done Kacy1988?

Here are ours that my friend personalised with our son's names:

These are lovely. I'm sure your son will be over the moon. I think if it were me I'd put the name in felt and, if time allowed, I might embellish the letters with sparklybit. I hope you will post pics of your finished stockings so we can see!!

Getting close isn't it :D Can I be cheeky and ask that when the new thread starts up can someone pretty please post a link to it in here? It's just that I'm subscribed to this thread and I get lost very easily on the boards so would love to be able to find it and play along from the start next year :)

  • Anyone else got last minute crafts yet to do?
    I want to....

*make a record bowl for my grandad- have a Dolly Parton one that would be perfect
*make a mini record bowl for dad- had something good, can't remember what it is, think it is wombles!
*make a 'safe jar' for aunty- need to find some jars with good lids then will be on with it

Am I on my own in being this disorganised?

It is an idea I got from this site; I think it was mary-op (is that the right id mary?) who said it first. Take a jam jar etc and put a toilet roll tube in it and cut down to just below the level of the lid. fill around the tube with some kind of pulses etc to disguise it. Hey presto, a safe place to leave some money or spare keys etc in your cupboard. I might label mine too with something witty, all I need to do is think of something witty :)

ah great idea, I was wondering how you would disguise a clear jar lol, thank you for the instructions :) Just looked on ebay and amazon as something to get my mum for xmas (I know a bit late now!) but they are about £5.
