You may want to double check the site, cause I was thinking of doing one of these with a sock monkey in, but having read through a bit more it says that you can only include soft toys with a CE label, and not homemade toys....
Have also since read some disturbing things about the company and their methods of distributing these gift boxes.....but that is another matter all together LOL

I'm very surprised to read that as they are a marvelous charity. I have been doing operation christmas child for 5 years now,and some people from my Church have actually gone out to help with distribution. Our church always thoroughly researches any`chairty we are encouraged to help. They didn't report anything worrying. It's a shame to besmirch such a well meaning charity.

You ARE allowed to knit for the box,see here

Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
  • It does say you can knit but at the bottom says

Please Note: Unfortunately due to EU regulations we are unable to accept hand knitted stuffed toys without a CE mark.

must be the stuffing they object to.

Glasses from sainsburys - 99p for 4, roll a pair of socks into it, and add a straw and cocktail stirrer, and a cocktail brolly. i've got some lemon and lime slice re-usable ice cubes on mine (found them in the sainsburys summer sale). I've wrapped mine in cellophane, going to try to sell some at the sale on saturday, and if they dont sell, they can go to female relatives.
love the sockstails would you mind if i had a go at making some
