boblibarn - can;t help with the cellophane I'm afraid. Last year when I did baskets I got mine from our local florist and just told her the size of the basket and she worked it out.

Not good at putting proper links up but if you type in what you're after in the search box at the top of the thread it should come up with something. There is a thread on flannel cup cakes.........think the reindeer are on there as well.
Snowman soup should be on here. I've never done it so can't help there.
Oh dear..........sorry...........not much help at all am I........ Hope that helps anyway if only a little bit.

Now..........I've got a query..............where can I get some small templates from to stitch on to little squares (about 3" x 3") of hearts, stars, anything thats a bit primitive/folk art christmassy. Having had a go at stitchery and making complete shambles I thought I could do applique instead. Need to be really basic -just the shapes.............can anyone help ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • So, I'm gonna be a little off the wall here but does anyone fancy joining me in making one of these this year...

I mean did you ever get a reaction that good to any of your crafting before? I think if you can knit or crochet or sew you could easily make it a crafty box too, add in a bookmark, a flannel reindeer, a sock cupcake... I mean the options are almost endless...

You may want to double check the site, cause I was thinking of doing one of these with a sock monkey in, but having read through a bit more it says that you can only include soft toys with a CE label, and not homemade toys....
Have also since read some disturbing things about the company and their methods of distributing these gift boxes.....but that is another matter all together LOL

What I would suggest Mary is to go to your local library. :money: Books on cardmaking and general crafts often have templates at the back of the book that you could trace and transfer onto ordinary card. There may even be some Christmas crafts books that have exactly what you are looking for. HTH.

Could I ask those of you that put links on this forum please indicate what the link is for - write it underneath. Thanks. ;)

what about printing your own template in word as they have most basic shapes? and you can click on the box to make it the size you want before printing it out

Wow NEgirl that is another stunning project! :T:T:T It is really lovely and what a good idea, making an adult advent calendar! It's so easy just to think of the kids instead of ourselves. Gorgeous!

    Thank you :D

Sharon i know Ness at Papermaze.co.uk has Love Bandit and Persuasion on order - i think she said they should be in this week or so :)

Not sure who else has it in stock - maybe a post on UKScrappers could point out some sponsors who have it on order? :)
