They would look cute covered with patterned paper and ribbon etc. Cut little cards to fit inside, decorate each and write positive messages on - fab little gift for someone to keep in their bags and when theyre feeling down they pick out a message that tells them how special they are :D

Either that or you could make a little mini album to fit inside - just fold card into an accordian shape, decorate and slot inside the decorated box :)

Wow, love the ideas! I'd never think of doing something like that! Thanks!

I'm thinking about it, probably anything I have left over from craft fairs will go on etsy or ebay, or be given out as presents. I don't know how well I'd do on there though, I think my things would probably do better in a face-to-face kind of environment?

I am sure it will do well on face to face, cos when I make something friends would see it and ask can you make me one please and i pay you for it!

can i ask what you pay for a bag of stuffing? it has been a long time since I bought some I had two bags which is used up with sock monkeys and dammitt dolls and went into local craft store today and bought one at £3.15 for 250g nearly passed out at the price!

  • Hey...
I'd like to start making things for Christmas because I'm a poor student this year, and I love making stuff!
I can't sew because I have severe arthritis is my wrists...what else could I make?
I'd love any suggestions...I wanted to make scrapbooks for everyone, but the materials seem so expensive and I was so disappointed with the Forever Friends set I got from Argos, it was nearly empty!

Any ideas would be really appreciated!

I got my stuffing from Boyes, £3.23 for a 450g bag which isn't too bad :)

I'm all excited because i'm waiting for a phone call back from a craft fair to let me know if I've got a place... fingers crossed! They said it's £10 for the table which I thought was very reasonable, you get to keep all of your profits, and they ask you to donate a raffle prize. Has anyone been asked to do this before? What kind of thing do you donate? The most expensive thing on my stall would be my sock monkeys so was thinking of donating one of those, or should I make something a bit special and more expensive? Don't want everyone else to have given really great prizes and for mine to look really rubbish next to them! I'm really excited though, hope I get in!

    Fab news!!!

Buying a cheap pillow/cushion and use the stuffing can sometimes work out a better price ;)

Where is best to get pillows from? I know they have cushion pads in the poundshop but they're not very densely packed from what I've found whereas you seem to get quite a lot packed into a bag of stuffing.
