Stardrops, she is gorgeous!! I have the Christmas book and want to make the angels, do you mind me asking where did you find the fabrics for the dolls (the skin coloured one especially) as i'm having a bit of trouble?! i can't seem to find one that is the right shade, they are too "peachy" or too beige looking! also, is it a linen type or just ordinary cotton?? Thanks!:D

    Hi

Sorry I've been away for a few days and only just seen this. The fabric was from Boyes, don't know if you have one near you, it is a linen/cotton mix I think:o. I am planning to make the angels from the xmas book but for those I bought a paler linen fabric, I hope its ok:confused:

They would look cute covered with patterned paper and ribbon etc. Cut little cards to fit inside, decorate each and write positive messages on - fab little gift for someone to keep in their bags and when theyre feeling down they pick out a message that tells them how special they are :D

Either that or you could make a little mini album to fit inside - just fold card into an accordian shape, decorate and slot inside the decorated box :)

    thanks in advance

    janey xxx

hi janey, i had this problem last week.
i think the best way to do it is to open a photobucket account (dead easy, nothing to pay etc )
upload the photos you want to photobucket, set them at medium size (roll mouse over photo - you will see menus - one says resize. set to medium - i think thats what most people use on here (just a note - if you set it to tiny, you cant make it bigger again, you have to upload the photo to photobucket again, then resize it!)

then you come on to MSE, and send a message like you normally would, and to put a pic on your message, go up to the little square that is yellow with a little triangle or mountain on it, when you put your mouse over it, it should say insert image.
go to photbucket, click on "Direct Link" (there are a list of 4 funny addresses) and it should copy it for you, then come to your MSE message, click on "insert image". a little box will come up - delete the http:// that is on it then paste the address you just got of the photobucket image

    hope this helps
    xx

DONT use oils desgned for candles there not cosmetic and will damage the skin or worse, you need to get essential oils that are suitable for cosmetic use, do an ebay search there are 100's for very little money in 100's of different scents.

  • Hi All,

I'm new here and have started looking through this thread for inspiration - well, what can I say, you are all very talented. I'm rubbish at art and crafty stuff but I'd love to make some personalised Christmas gifts for my kids and parents - any simple ideas will be gratefully recieved!
