One of the best sellers last year was the chocolate logs - one brown and one cream face cloth rolled together, cellophaned with a little sprig of holly on the top - everyone loved them :D
Yep after doing that i think im getting in the mood to get the fair stuff ready :D

Hey NEGirl, how do you find where the craft fairs are? I assume you're in the north east (either that or you're a WoW player :rotfl: ) which is where I'm currently looking for fairs (mainly Middlesbrough) and not having much luck with Google. Are there any websites with lists up? Thanks :)

  • Here's a little doll I made which I am giving as a gift for christmas. The pattern is from the "sew pretty homestyle" book which I love:j I've just sent for the "christmas gifts" book from the the Tilda range as well, can't wait till it arrives:j

Stardrops, she is gorgeous!! I have the Christmas book and want to make the angels, do you mind me asking where did you find the fabrics for the dolls (the skin coloured one especially) as i'm having a bit of trouble?! i can't seem to find one that is the right shade, they are too "peachy" or too beige looking! also, is it a linen type or just ordinary cotton?? Thanks!:D

    Thank you :)

I went to the local florist and they sold the cardboard collapsible boxes used for bouquets etc....50p each :) Oasis in the bottom, sweets on skewers fastened with sticky tape and then use a big square of cellophane, pull it up around the cob and secure with a fancy ribbon :)

Clare will send you some links as i need to dig them out first :)

I only charged £1.50 as its basically only 2 facecloths, a sprig of holly, small amount of cellophane and ribbon :) I know a lot of people said i should be charging more but i always think its best they sell for what its worth than me be left with loads after christmas :)
