  • I made this matchbook style book for a friend for this xmas I still need to add her name onto the front cover...when you open it the quote below is on front page and 6 pages of bubble wrap cut down to 4 x 4

It looks flat in the picture but its quite fat.
When you are stressed and full of troubles
Just grab a sheet and pop some bubbles!
watch problems go with a loud “Pop”! “Pop”!
soon your spirit will be back on top.
This is therapeutic and soon after a while
You will find yourself begin to smile!
Directions: Pop one stress relieving capsules
Every 4 - 6 hours or as needed.
Warning: May become addictive, in case of overdose please seek professional counselling.

    Ingredients

-0.5 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
    -0.75 cup peanut butter
    -1/3 cup granulated sugar
-1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
    -1 large egg
    -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    -1.5 cups all-purpose flour
    -1 teaspoon baking soda
    -1/2 teaspoon salt
    -48 large RED M and M candies
    -96 mini semisweet chocolate chips
    -48 Pretzels, broken into 96 1-inch pieces

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375F and place rack in center of the oven. Grease two baking sheets.
    2. In a large mixer, beat butter, peanut butter and sugars on medium until mixed well and light in texture, about 2 minutes. Add egg and vanilla; beat until thoroughly combined. Stir in flour, bakign soda and salt until dough forms. Roll into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on prepared sheets.
    3. Bake (recommend one sheet at a time) until just set and bottoms are golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. For each cookie, while warm, place 1 M&M in center for nose, 2 miniature chocolate chips for eyes, and broken pretzel for antlers. Transfer cookies to a wire rack or flattened paper bag and let cool completely. Can be made ahead, store in an airtight container.

janey - oh if only I could cook.................lol Dread to think what mine would look like:rotfl:

Irishgirl - I spent all morning making three matchbox bubble wrap books.............even OH was impressed (so he says anyway). They're smaller than yours but its a good way to use up odd strips of card and ribbon.
    Thanks for that idea.:j

    Hi All

Just wanted to let you all know that I had the sad news that I lost my twins this morning. They think the blood clots I've been having are the birth sac coming away now so they are leaving me to pass it naturally, but im back in on the 24th for another scan to check everything is out.

thanks for all the good vibes.

so at some point this week i will be sat down going through Xmas bits and pieces to try and cheer myself up.

I will get my diary covered at some point too.

and hoping to make a start on some Xmas cards.
    Time to find me again
