..sorry if you misunderstood, being 'fake' does not mean 'not good', I bought my daughter a R$ revolution for xmas...clever bit of kit..I wish I understood how it works, but it's the only cart she keeps in the machine, the others (the originals) are on the shelf

I have also just reid the website on the box and it just says service unavailable, have I been ripped off by memorybits with a fake r4 card, my card is the R4 SDHC

I doubt it, mine it, mine also said made in china.

I had to reformat the micro sd , before adding the correct files for the sdhc type card

As has been said above, R4 don't make cards now so most on sale are fakes but should still work (that doesn't mean your is fake though)

What's the name on the box, is it R4 revolution, R4 deluxe etc as they use different software ?

make sure your loading the right drivers on the card. Had a few before to do for family at christmas & I was putting the wrong software on.

The drivers should be on the cd in the box. They'll be the most up to date generally.

Other than that 2gb micro sd is the recommended largest card you use

they are not fakes they are "clones"

the orginal r4 is not made anymore people took its design and made new cards from it.

u can get fakes that blow up ur ds but no decent shop in the uk sells them

Hi i had the same problem,
you need to make sure if your R4 card is SDHC that your micro chip is also sdhc
then just google softwear for R4 SDHC
you will have to drag 6 files onto you micro chip then add new folder and call it games, so you will have 7 files .
Then just download your games into your games file.
Hope this works it did for me.

I had the same problem when I first started to use the cards, late one night having read so many times that it was a fake and downloading lots of different software etc someone on one of the chat forums suggested taking the sd card out and rubbing the contacts on my shirt. After that it worked fine.

Are you sure the two R4DS cards which you bought are fit your DS , but in fact , i doubt the quality of the two cards . another , why they dont refund you money if the cards are Unavailable . Hope you can solve it well in the end , Good luck !
