morning all and a very merry christmas
dd(19) just sent a picture of dgs(4) scoffing a whole toblerone - there could be trouble ahead LOL
my lot have never woken up early and we've usually got bored with coughing outside their door and woken them up. dd(19) tells me that Mr Caring sharing jumped on them all at 8.30, got dgs all hyped up and then went back to bed sadly forgetting that santa has put a recorder in dgs's stocking. dgs and recorder have just been dispatched to return the favour.
The girls and dgs are coming to see me for an hour or two later so I'm really looking forward to that and then back to "w*rk" for 3pm
hope all you're cooking adventures go well and that you all live to tell the tale

Hi Guys!
Merry Christmas!!!!
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smokey & Kids)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Didnt get back late last night, but still very tired. Decided not to do poker in the end but have taken a rain check.
We all love each others gifts. I am so lucky, I asked for 3 items and got them:j :j :j :j :j ....DD spoilt as usual:rolleyes:
The Ocado delivery came yesterday but I called them to moan about my cheeseboard that had been squashed and for £10, I wasnt impressed. Do people not realise that heavy items on top causes broken items....anyway, they refunded £15 in the end, so happy with that:D
Meat in, veggies prepped and am just off for a shower, then we are putting on Wizard of Oz as we always watch that on Xmas day. Out to friends at 5 for a party which will be a laugh.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone this year for my continued support...luv you all lots.

Merry Christmas Everyone
:santa2: to all friends old and new:xmassmile
Our friend had his operation yesterday, and was in ICU as was expected, do not know how far they had to go yet, will hear later. Prayers said at the midnight service last night as I have 3 who need them atm.
DS rang up to be collected from the pub crawl around 8 pm last night, age must be getting to them as they had had enough. Dropped two of his friends off so they did not have to drive home today. Result is that I have a very awake DS playing Mario Kart which Santa brought with his Dad:j :j Presents not opened until this morning, instead of late night, but I think a better result
Big hugs to those who are finding this time hard and loved ones not around, especially to Smokybabe and the LO's.
Off to see the only LO's in our family shortly, if I can extract my boys from
the wii:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Merry Christmas everyone.
We had a wonderfull day y/day, one of the best. After pressie opening and dinner DGD played the piano whilst DD1, DD2 and SiL 2b sang Carols to DH and me, the flickering fire, xmas lights and all the candles gave off a lovely festive light.
I felt quite emotional, and I'm sure I saw a tear in DH's eye, he said it was due to his cold.
We have loads of veg left over so only turkey and roasties to do.
Our local is open at lunchtime, we pop down for an hour and meet friends and neighbours, we all get dressed up in our finest.
This evening we are going to friends for drinks before a crowd of us go Carol singing at three sheltered housing units for the elderly. We do it every year, the wardens tell them we are coming as some of them are a bit worried about opening their doors. We get dressed up in victorian clothes and take baskets of goodies to give out, one of the group takes his violin, another has a flute. We all carry lanterns on poles, a bit like the scene off a Quality Street tin.
I love seeing their faces and it makes our Christmas, as some of them don't see anyone over the festive season.
Afterwards we are all coming back here for mulled wine, mince pies etc.
So that's my next job, making some more pies as quite a few went missing y/day. DH is in charge of making the mulled wine.
Well, I do hope everyone is having a stress free and happy day.
I'd like to thank each and everone of my Dear friends here for all of the kindness and support I have received throughout this year and look forward to happier times in the coming one.
Beth xx
