    You're making great progress wilf.

Don't let me back on until I have taken pictures of DS clothes for sale and loaded them on to my reserved slot. I am creating anticipation in cyberspace. I have had a couple of e-mails asking me what exactly it is that I am selling ...

Also i'm half starved as I am renewing my diet efforts, so I commit to not sabotaging them today...... shame.......

    Hi DeeDee,

I am sure if you wrote a list of all the things you do in a day it would be a long one. Students are a big responsibility, and time consuming. Where did you say they were from?

Fingers and toes crossed that the tax rebate comes through, that would be an amazing result. When will you know for definite?

    Hi wilf,

Don't be too hard on yourself if you are having an off day, you could just be over tired. It sounds like you have had a very busy few days with your trip away and everything else.

You have managed so far to nurture your son's talents, against the odds, so why should the future be any different.

It must be exhausting though, so try and take care of yourself and treat yourself when you can.

  • [STRIKE]convert Tesco vouchers for eurotunnel[/STRIKE]
get paperwork for small claims court
[STRIKE]fill in son's new passport number on flight booking[/STRIKE]
pay elec and gas bill for old house
check direct debits all up and running
put savings in higher interest earning account
investigate ISA options or is it too late?
    cancel talktalk 13th april
need to send postcards to students

You are right Scrooge, only two things to cross off my list but I haven't sat down since 8am this morning. Think I'm too late for the lego, son too old now, not sure it will do as well as star wars offer as a resale on ebay, never know though.

Wilf, that is so funny thinking of DS golfing as a baby!! How about his squad doing fund raising? Bag packing at Asda is very lucrative or a dance or can he work as a caddy at the weekends at local golf course. Friends son worked as a caddy at some big golf thing in St Andrews, he lived locally, and he earned a fortune in tips etc.

Students are Austrian, so well behaved and polite, they go home Saturday, looking forward to crashing though when they've gone.

You will be able to sit on the sofa again in your PJ's Deedee

when we broach the subject of fund raising at the club we sort of get told that in the current econimic climate etc and feel they dont want to discriminate against other juniors etc

i have a photo of when he was 16m old golfing will try and upload it

with regards to the caddying he does caddy occassionally for others but we dont really get any big comps around here to attract the people that need caddies

    thanks though much appreciated...xx

Wilf, I think I remember you posting that you needed an extra £3,000 a year to support DS golf, but please correct me if i'm wrong. That is roughly the £10.00 a day challenge, which I reckon is feasible between you and your son. I bring in that most months through odds and sods.

At the start of each month I brainstorm a way of reaching it, which is different every month, and somehow it comes together. Perhaps you and DS could have a brainstorming session each month and come up with a plan for the month ahead. If you think too far ahead it can be very discouraging, but one day or month at a time is much easier to cope with.

Keep in with the Austrian students DeeDee, that's a great place to go for a holiday lol!

Just Lollypop to do today, so I need to take the opportunity to make inroads into the weekly list. It will feel great if I polish this little lot off and energy levels are OK today - so i'm going to go for it.

    In priority order -
[STRIKE]- DS rugby stuff and clean shoes[/STRIKE]

    Ebaying (still not completed)
[STRIKE]- Find DS clothes for ebaying[/STRIKE]
    - Iron clothes
    - Photograph individually and as a bundle
    - Fill in a detailed description about the items
    - Load photographs
    - Submit
    - respond to queries about the missing clothes

Then - a lot of little jobs
[STRIKE]- Resurrect weight and food tracker spreadsheet[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Sew split in DS jacket[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Prepare budget April[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Invoice accounts job[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Pay vodafone bill[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Mystery shopping new home phone call[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Change BT voicemail from home to business line[/STRIKE]
    - Activate Tesco Sim for Quidco
[STRIKE]- Phone Yorkshire Building Society and transfer offset money - need to take money to branch[/STRIKE]

Followed by another job i'm not looking forward to:-
    - Pull together and label stuff for NCT sale

    Finally
    [STRIKE]- Tea - Minestrone soup[/STRIKE]
    - Basic Flylady
    - DS homework
    - Organise for Friday

I have recorded Desperate Housewives and Master Chef, so anything that can be will be done while watching these to make it more fun!

Well I seem to have been quite busy today, but there's still a lot that has not been done on the list, cest la vie.

A good hour was spent logging an official complaint with BT, because they have made a real pig's ear of the transition from personal customer to business customer, anything that could have gone wrong has. On the plus side it looks like they are not going to charge me for the last two months and they are throwing in some compensation too, so some good may come out of it.
