Carphonewarehouse just sent me two cashback cheques
I am nearing the end of a cashback contract with carphonewarehouse. I missed my last cashback date, but applied recently for my next cashback cheque.
Rather to my surprise they sent me two cheques instead of one. Does anyone know if this was intentional eg, is one of the two cheques the previous cashback amount I forgot to claim?
It seems suprisingly fair, so much so I was wondering if it was an error!

If I were you I'd shut up and delete this thread! cpw are the complete opposite of "fair" nowadays. However, they are utterly incompetent and DO monitor these threads.0

They've just paid me for a claim which was posted one day after the end of the month it should have been submitted during. I can't accept that they are universally being less fair, tbh; they've always paid each claim I've submitted.
The only shame is that they seem to have stopped sending text acknowledgements of claims, which was a useful way to save you worrying whether or not your claim had been received.0 -
It doesn't go by calendar months - the suggestion indicates you may have been using the on-line account dates which are almost always WRONG - and since they keep changing the t&c after the event you probably did send it correctly. Try telling the growing army of previously loyal fans who have been forced to sue this company when they did absolutely nothing wrong that E2Save is "fair"! They are a complete bunch of liars and cheats now, as many are finding out to their cost after springing up to defend them, as you have.0

This happened to me a year or so ago and they wrote me a letter a few days letter saying it was due to error and they canceled the cheque.0

Dont get me started on CWH. I'm waiting to cancel a phone on 27th December. I need to talk to customer loyalty first to get my cancellation code and the address to send it to. Hell mind the poor punter that gets me on Friday.
Its their condacending tone that gets me "(sneer) You dont want a contract phone thats cheaper than pay as you go? Are you stupid?"
Yes i'm stupid, I took out a contract with you in the first place.0 -
I would cash the cheques and not question it. Obviously they might have cancelled one of them but you'll find out about that if they have. If it ever went to court they'd almost certainly side with you - terms and conditions that require you to send something to them on a particular day in order to get the advertised offer are not remotely 'fair'.0

They don't always cancel the cheque! As for disconnections, read the relevant thread - you DO NOT have to have a disconnection code; that's merely another of their absolute lies to try to stop you leaving. The address to write to is Southampton and is on the relevant thread. I keep telling everyone not to LISTEN to their tripe! Do the research - it's the truth against all their lies.
ps - I have now added the address to my guide:-

I am contracted until the 27th of December. I cannot cancel before that as I would be in breach of contract.
I am ony going through their procedure to abuse the idiot that will try and sign me up for another contract. This is due to the rubbish they have already spouted to me.
They are losing 2 contract phones, aol and a home phone contract. All because their "salesman" wouldnt let me turn it into a PAYG( even more money lost to them).
They will also be slated at every opportunity to family and friends, hopefully costing even more.0 -
You can cancel ON 27th IF you gave 30 days' notice. By not so doing and listening to their c**p they have extracted at least another month's payments out of you. Going through "their procedure" merely abuses YOU, not them! I suggest to do your research rather than listen to anything they tell you. I and others have bothered to put it all on these threads a long time back - and more than once - for the benefit of others just like you.0

Lets try again. My contracted 12 months is up 30 days AFTER 27th December. Therefore I am giving them notice of my cancellation at the earliest opportunity avaliable to me.
Your advice is not for "others just like me". I neither asked for, or searched for your advice. My post's are more a statement, not a request for help.0
