Who?
Who are viyella? They aren't major players?0 -
Viyella used to be part of Coats Viyella and was a big manufacturer of clothing and soft furnishings, supplying companies such as M&S in their buy British days.
It has since split from Coats Viyella and has focused more on retail. Its a shame really, it used to be one of those good, reliable British brands. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hi! I have quite a few Woolworths shares my Nan left me when she died. She bought them for her 21st in the 1930s and I didn't have the heart to sell them. However, does it mean that any shares I have are now worthless?
Any advice gratefully recieved - Debbie0 -
Another one goes, Miller Brothers

you were obsessed with B & Q and the booming housing market. We will see what happens to it in the economic slowdown.
Hi, i am slightly biased as i work for B&Q but dont disagree with some of your comments, would say though that of all of the DIY sheds that i am pretty confident that they will survive, they are still the market leaders and apparantly "cash rich" they are probably the fittest of the sheds. hope so anyway!Debt [STRIKE]Mar16 - £10,401eek[/STRIKE]: Jan 18 £4601 Paid off so far £5800 pay off 18 £1625

I have read with interest peoples views and predictions on the next companies to fail.
I have thought for the past few years that the major supermarkets are taking over the world!! With it I think towns as we know it will close until there are no high street shops and the only options are supermarkets and the internet. I hope that shopping centres will then begin to open up again as people realise cheap shopping is not the answer and start to value customer service and enjoy shopping in town again! Pie in the sky but possibly a little truth!!
I believe Woolworths has closed for many reasons but the main being that children grow out of toys too quickly. The amount of 5 year old children getting a DS or play station for Christmas was probably far higher than the amount of dolls and train sets bought for the same age group. Shops such as GAME I imagine will not suffer too badly in the present climate.
By the way HAPPY NEW YEAR.
PS: I am not miserable just spend too much time thinking!!0
