Surely, if he keeps the bales around it forever the structure will be the same as it has for over 4 years so everything is legal again.0

Not if the council keeps taking him to court.
Also the council can get permission so they are allowed to go on his land, rip the house down and then charge him for the privilege.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

You are near me then, because I am near that:D
And near me too as I remember reading about it in the local rag. I also wondered what happened about it as it seems to have gone quiet.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 20140 -
Whilst I don't agree with building all over the green belt (although as the population grows we will have to consider it carefully), I think planners should give more consideration to big, individual houses being belt.
Field after field after field is just boring. If someone wants to put something big and magnificent up then it should be considered. These big buildings make the British countryside what it is, NOT just grass and fields.0 -

If your driving past can you ask him whats going on?
How long can he keep putting them off I wonder?0 -

It's actually on Axes Lane which is a bit further on. MrsE, if you're driving from Salfords towards Outwood, you go past Mason's Bridge Road on the left (signposted for the hospital) and just after that on the left is a sign saying something like "Life Discovery Centre" run by the above-mentioned Mr Fidler. The "castle" is in there set back from the road a bit. It's actually easier to see if you are coming the other way so that it is on your right but there are a lot of farm buildings (silos?) etc so it takes a few passes to see it. If you type Axes Lane into aboutmyplace.co.uk you can see it clearly in birds-eye view on the north side of Axes Lane just to the east of Mason's Bridge Road. It is just to the left of a huge barn. Have fun hunting!0

Honeycrock lane becomes Axes Lane, I never knew that:o
And then it becomes Green Lane, I never knew that:o
I drive down Green Lane, then Axes Lane then Honeycrock lane, I thought it was all called Honeycrock Lane.
I thought it was Honeycrock Lane right to the end, by the pub where it comes out:o
I drive down it twice daily:o :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I know its behind that Life Discovery place, but from the road driving past I've never spotted a mock castle.0
