  • I have just been to my local Woolworths and bought Guitar Hero III, with guitar (wireless) for £19 - Bargain. They seem to have quite a few console bundles, and games behind the counter - you need to ask them directly.

  • The woollies in Montrose is the last to close in our area (5th Jan). I got a load of wrapping paper and assorted birthday cards with 70% off, though there isn't a lot left. I asked the SA what (mobile) phones they had left and managed to get a Sony Ericsson K530i for £35 instead of £70. They had a few others (a skype phone on 3, a virgin network flip phone in purple and something that looked like a zebra for £4.99).
  • A friend of mine who works at Woolworths said that if you get down to your local store on the day of closing at about 3pm, everything will be 90% off. Trust at your peril. Or whatever.

I went to my local store in Peckham London yesterday and pretty much everything good has gone with only over priced dvds/cds, cards and other bits and bobs left. I didn't buy anything as there wasn't a bargain to be had.

I don't know whether it's worth me nipping in today as it's the store final day today.

in the other posts people are saying you can fill a box/basket for £2.
Is that only for some branches that had lots left over or a generel policy?
And what time does this start does anyone know?

Has anyone bought any of the shelving? If it's cheap enough I'll buy a good quantity and store it for future use. I went in last week and I thought 100 - 150 for a metre bay was quite steep for old, well use shop shelving.
I might go back in tomorrow or friday and see if they'll halve it.
