Ok, you'd have thought I would have learnt by now that I don't have money to waste but today I have still managed to spend £10 on nothing  I am SO annoyed with myself and really need to work out why??

I am sure it is just I have no will power in every sense, I am great at saying I am going to do something but when it comes down to it I just fail at every hurdle....must work harder at this as it is something that has been following me for as long as I can remember......any tips on how to change this anyone ???

What did you spend the money on? Do you use spending diaries?

I have signed up for the Weekly Spend Challenge - are you doing that one? You set a budget for the week and confess your spends. Each week pointypenguin marks you as green for within budget, red for over budget and purple for a NSW (No spend week) Seeing yourself in red helps motivate you for the following week!!

Thanks FF - think I may take a look at the weekly spend challenge. It stupid really as I usually work from home most days so potentially I could have the most NSD's ever but somehow don't.

Today I just wasted it on food (mainly choc), drinks etc during trip up to London for work and can honestly say that I have about 40p left...what a waste. Thing is I took my lunch, snacks etc with me but haven't eaten them.

Wasting money, saying I am going to do something (not only related to money) and never actually doing them just seems to be the way of life for me and it's starting to annoy me. I think I start a diet every week!!!

Sad part is that when I stick to things, like healthy eating, maintaining home, cutting back on spends etc I feel fantastic but then I go and ruin it and for some reason just go on self destruct rather than saying....oh well, just a blip, onwards and upwards type thing......I drive myself loopy!!!

Jolly - one day is not the end of the world and it could be worse - you could have spent a damn site more than a tenner on nothing - we've all done it probably many many times and probably will again but hopefully not as often as before if we had not found this site. Just get yourself back on track now - it's done, you enjoyed the chocolate so it was worth it at the time??!!!! Just get back on track now.

Ok, new start and attitude (again she says in her head!!) I have to focus on things better as just let things slip and in the process allowed myself to become down, poor me type attitude which does not help as have suffered with depression/axiety etc many years back...do NOT want to ever go there again.

So, today is a brand spanking new day, the sun is shining and it is pay day so positive thinking and attitude from now on!!

    Positives so far today -
    • Will be NSD as have eaten at home and at friends for dinner and OH is buying bottle of wine on way home :T
    • Healthy eating - all day although can not control this evening as not cooking myself:T
    • Been for 30 min run at lunchtime (did 30 min run last night too) :T

Can you tell I like giving myself a clap :D Not bad achievements for half a day being gone....oh and I have done 3 washloads as working from home :T

I am keeping a strict spending diary from now on to hopefully make me think about what I am spending and why. I am also continuing on daily scratch cards, they seems to be adding up and at a nice balance.

Must get back to work but wanted to update my diary to keep me motivated. Going to update daily with achievements (nothing negative!) each day, including spending etc to ensure that I keep on top of things and motivate myself.

Not too much really. Have a mini challange put to me by OH last night. To help me lose the weight I want to he has said if I can reach 10st or less by Good Friday then on the Saturday before Easter he will take me on a shopping spree and treat me to a few new outfits - shoes etc!!! Now that's a challenge!! He said to see it as a money saving (don't have to buy my spring/summer wardrobe) and motivation to lose the weight.....so super healthy person I will become!!!

Anyhow, must get back to work. 7.5hrs overtime today....woo hoo :j
