I like the Argos Reserve Online option .... go through, spot what you want, then check all stores within a 20-50 mile radius until you find it. Reserve it and go fetch. Marvellous idea.... except half the time what I want isn't available at any stores within 20-50 miles. It's a shame they don't show you a list of the nearest 25 stores and where it is... rather than requiring you to keep changing towns and picking 3 stores at a time. But I can't have everything.
I probably use Argos like that about 3x per year.0 -
Online, everything I see in shops I always think I bet I can get that cheaper online!
I do like to wander rounds shops for something to do but I dont buy normally.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0 -
Tesco for food and then the internet for almost everything else. When I buy off the internet it tends to be the smaller companies because I go for unusual things which are not usually stocked by the mainstream shops.0

Morrisons and Co-op for food (can't wait for our Lidls to open).
Ebay, boot sales, charity shops for clothes, books etc.
Local little shop for a newspapers and small bits and bobs.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Yes, you scarcely have to interact with a real person at all, if you arrive and pay via the card machine! As mine is five minutes walk, it's a cinch. Pity they don't have much I like.....0 -

......one of the things we noticed during the past year (when T/O dropped 35%) was how many ''customers'' turned out not to be customers afterall. The drop in people footfall really showed up who was having a wander and who was just coming for a chat and a bit of therapy.
I rumbled loads of bored mums, 50+'s etc who I recognised by face....and worked out they never really spent...but when you are busy one doesn't notice so much.
The Mewers and CC junkies are gone and the wanderers showed up more....no-one to hide behind.
It's truly been a fascinating year for moi.0 -
Some essentials in Sainsburys, veg from a local farm box scheme just a few miles down the road and fresher then any 1st year Uni student, and cheaper too. Don't eat a lot of meat, but if we do, buy local and named.....ie Betty or Gladys!;)
Mainly shop online now. The clothes I buy are more expensive then a few years back, but I actually spend less then before overall, as go for quality not quantity.
A few years back I was spending a fortune on EBay and ending up with tat, as it never turned out as described. Same with impulse buying on the high street. Now much more selective, and check where and what something is made off. If I want a book, I look in Waterstones first to see what it is like......then buy online at Amazon!

Food, usually Tesco, sometimes Morrisons, sometimes Asda, once in a blue moon Aldi.
Housholdey stuff I usually pick up at the supermarket, but 'Home Bargains' can be good if I'm passing.
Clothes, usually Matalan for basics, factory outlet village once in a while, once or twice a year I buy from Burtons, Topman, or Next. Never stepped foot in a TK Maxx or Primark, sadly there isn't one close enough. Never bought clothing other than socks from a supermarket.
Computer games I'll buy from local indie shops. Most other gadgets etc I'll price check online and buy from the cheapest. DVDs and stuff I sometimes forget to pricecheck and buy from play.com, gadgets sometimes I forget to pricecheck and just buy from ebuyer.com.
Oh, and sometimes I buy other people's tat via ebay
