Spray the area with soda water, and blot with kitchen roll, then sprinkle with borax, leave to dry and vacuum up.

The hair dye is one of those that was out after so many washes, it is not advertised as permenant, therefore I live in hope!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think it will ever come out. That is why salons keep their hair dying towels seperate from regular. None of the stain removers I have tried will shift permanent hair colour. I have a batch of dying towels that have splats and splots going back to the 80's (ahhh....every stain a memory) :D

If it's semi permanent it might come out with some vanish and a lot of elbow grease with a good scrubbing brush. If its permanent I'm afraid your stuck with it

Don't worry, after a while you grow to love those splodges on your cream bathroom carpet. I know I have, I barely even notice them any more................

I've got a hair dye stain on the cushion floor in the bathroom, tried everything and it's still there

i did this once, worse still i was house sitting (they were silly enough to have beige carpeting in a bathroom! first of all carpet in a bathroom bad idea, BEIGE carpet another bad idea!)

anyway, the dye was only on the top so i use nail clippers to cut away a tiny bit at a time til i got all of it. then i hoovered back and forth and all around til it fluffed up to normal again, you couldn't see it if you didn't know what to look for ;)

course that only works with pile carpet, if you have something like sisel or something really 'flat' i think you're S.O.L
