might be worth trying head and shoulders shampoo .. im a colour tech and its one of the things we can use if someone wants to draw colour out of their hair faster without resorting to proper stripper. dont try to remove all the colour at one go, have a go, leave it for a few days and then go back to it . i have used this before and it reduced the carpet stain a bit

Oh no, I made the fatal mistake of moving away from the shower whilst I was dying my hair and got a couple of dark brown drops on my CREAM carpet, oops!!!

Any ideas of how to get this out without making it any worse?

Was it permanent, semi permanent or temporary dye?

If it was permanent I'm afraid your stuck with it. It won't wash out.

If it's semi permanent it will come out with a LOT of elbow grease and a LOT of vanish or something simiar.

    Ditto if it's temporary.

Afterthought - You could try putting bleach just on the spot where the mark is. As it's a cream carpet it might make the stain less noticeable than a brown spot.

I know how you feel, I've got hair down to my bum which I dye black quite often and have a light green and black dots carpet now.

I know when I worked in a hairdressers and they got tint on their clothes, they would immediately spray it with hairspray - they reckoned it removed it. Worth a try??

I think you might be stuck with the stains.
