Oh dear yes I join the large amount of people on here who have fallen into this scam. So far I have contacted my bank who are looking into this for me and also ombudsman. I have also sent this company an email telling them that I fully intend to take them to court if it is not resolved within a matter of days. I am also debating contacting watchdog.0

I got a call from these nasty people saying i was accepted for a loan, Was told that no money would go out of my account on the day in question, But guess what it was taken out, Have tried to ring this company but get put on hold all the time then get disconnected, I have sent a number of emails to them to call me back, But what a surprise still no call back. I got intouch with the Financial ombudsman, Who were very helpful, They are sending a letter of complaint on my behalf, So will have to wait and see what happens, In the mean time i will continue to send emails to them,0

I received a cold call from Direct Finance and after going thru my personal details and credit check they passed me to the underwriting dept. who congratulated me and accepted a loan confirming the rate of interest and payment. When I got home I looked them up on their website and found out they were a broker. I tried calling them holding 10 mins at a time and couldn't get through. I then found your forum and immediately telephoned the Office of Fair Trading and lodged a complaint and written to them for my money back. (They immediately took £49.99 from my account). I will do whatever it takes to get a refund! How on earth can this be a registered company and exist!0

The company have been shut down by trading standards and had all bank accounts and assets frozen. I know someone who works there and he said TS came in and pulled the plug on the whole thing.
Also looks like a few people are on the case http://direct-finance.net/I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
I find it bewildering that people continue to use these unscrupulous finance companies. There is a real difference between desperation and just plain daft. I keep on saying it, but find out about your local credit union if you need a low cost loan. In fact, find out who your credit union is now and join up, that way when the emergency arises, you can access a loan at an incredibly low rate.
You really do have to be really very naive to give these details or pay out to someone who cold calls you without checking if they are reliable / FSA regulated etc.Earn £10 a day JAN: £92.23 / £310 :j ...............NSD Jan 2/10
14 months to debt free with snowballing (start date Jan 2012) £0/12600........JAN weight loss target 5/60 pounds
I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl0
