  • Thank you so much everyone for your kind words! I am having mostly green with a red day here and there! I am also a lot more active than I was three weeks ago! I love my fitness DVD its so much fun and a good work out! I think doing that a couple of times a week on top of following SW has helped. I dont feel deprived on SW as I do eat when I want to. I am trying to many new foods it has really been enjoyable so far.

Im tired so my explanation of extra easy isnt going to be the best but simply, if you have the books then look at your red free food pages and your green free food pages.

extra easy allows you to enjoy red free foods and green free foods in the same meal so an unmeasured grilled chicken breast and rice, unmeasured gammon steak and unlimited slimming world chips. lasagne / cottage pie with very lean mince not quorn!

The compromise you make is that you are only allowed 1 Healthy A Option and 1 Healthy B option.

It is also suggested that 2/3rd of your plate are superfree but this isnt a "must" edit as pointed out by Angie loves veg, i meant 1/3rd of your plate here. Thank you Angie - told you I was tired!

If you need to syn something then the syn value taken is the lowest of the two so a slimming world tuna pouch, 1 syn on red, 4 syns on green, take the 1 syn value (even if you are having it with lots of jacket spuds).

Flat Eric means 1/3 of your plate superfree for the superfast results.
  • I have been asked to share a weekly menu, as it was thought that ppeps might find it interesting how I do things.. I decide on dinner, this determines the day (R/G/EE etc) then work backwards from there.

This is my menu from last tues, somewhat simplified, but to give ideas:

Always assume that 1 HA is used for milk in tea  Breakfast is almost always 0% greek yog, berries.

    Tues - Easy
L - eggs and beans on toast (HB)
D - meal out - had hummus, salad, grilled meats, rice, more salad, 1/2 bottle wine (12 syns), G&T (2.5 syns),

    Wed - Red
L - kippers on bread and spread (HB +2)
D - chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella (HA) wrapped in bacon, large salad, new potatoes (HB), wine (6), gin (2.5)

    Thurs - Green
L - out at zoo - Jacket potato with beans and salad
D Cous cous, chicken (HB) and chick pea tagine with apricots (HB), wine (6), gin (2.5)

    Friday - Easy
L - hm leek, potato and pea soup (kept free to damage limit for later)
D - meal out at blowout place - squid and salad starter, steak and salad and wedges, chocolate pud and chantilly cream  One small glass wine (5)

    Sat - Easy
L - lentil and vegetable soup, bread (HB)
D - rice, lamb rogan josh, 3 samosa (3 syns), sag aloo, gin (2.5), wine (6)

    Sunday - Red
L - Chicken milanese (B of breadcrumbs), large salad
D - beef daube with cabbage mash (HB), carrots, broc (2/3 superfree to counteract friday nights indulgence) gin (2.5) no wine

    Monday - Green
L - SW chips, spagetti letters (don't ask) eggs, bread (HB), muller
D - cottage pie (meat HB), 2/3 superfree veg, carrots, broc, gin (2.5), wine (6), one choc (4)

Tuesday - tomorrow - weigh in day - Easy
L - tuna / corn jacket potato with 2/3 salad
D - sea bass with leeks, PSB, pak choi wine (6), followed by 2 'real' pancakes

  • Happy Birthday to those that are celebrating today. Today is actually my old wedding anniversary from my previous marriage - so forgive me if I prefer to forget today exists lol

Not been doing too great recently. Daytime is fine, evenings and especially bedtime are when my resolve lets me down. Onwards and upwards as they say!
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites

    I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care

Peachy, this was actually discussed a couple of pages back. I was surprised at the outcome. If you have trouble finding it, maybe searching for "wine syns" might locate it.
